This bottle was on the down side of it's life. Loads of toasty buttery oak, the fruit is drying up, with hints of apple, pear, oak was dominating. Drinkable, but not up to par, based on this well stored bottle I would drink sooner than later!

A favorite Chardonnay of ours. Notes of light citrus, apple & a touch of oak. Don't expect one of the oak-bombs of 15 years ago, but neither a steel-tank finish. This has a perfect balance of wood, giving a wonderful mouthfeel & medium finish. Drink now.

- Light gold color and aromas of grapefruit and melon. It's balanced and has flavours of grapefruit, pineapple and melon with a light/medium body. Satin-Like texture with a medium finish - Beautiful Chardonnay

Balanced California styled Chardonnay. Hints of white fruit, but dominant notes are butter, vanilla; palate is full bodied, rich vanilla; nice medium length finish. Very nice for this style.

I enjoyed this wine, it is californian Chardonnay no doubts about it but in pretty good balance, Lots of pineapple juice, good malo and some oak but in good harmony
Conc: Think I would buy this again [tho I may have to do a side by side with le crema, which is $10 cheaper]

SWINE Whites Blind Dinner (Chez Leonard): This wine placed 3rd in the SWINE Whites Blind Dinner tasting. Tasting notes for this wine are a little cryptic, it had a velvet mouthfeel.

More oaky and opulent than the Cakebread; could come into balance over time. Pleasing, unctuous, but not as fresh as the Cakebread, which was more my style. 90+

Served with risotto and roasted chicken. Complimented the meal well, not over oaked and balanced.

An average medium body California Chardonnay with mild nose, citrus and mild oak on the palate. High acidity. Best with food and a little chilled.

A basic medium body Napa Chardonnay, with primary citrus and oak flavors; good acidity. Better when slightly chilled. 85-86

Nice balance between toasty oak and fruit, light butter notes, went well with smoked turkey and root veggeis.
