  • Quite a bit riper and more tropical on the nose than the more Chablis-like Pietracupa 2010 - I got banana. Palate is nice and crisp however with some body.

  • At Davio's. This was served too cold and it was flat as a board until we warmed it a bit. Then the nose blossomed with pear and tropical fruit, pretty floral aromatics, a nice little amaro kiss on the finish. Versatile with a range of dishes at the table.

  • Elegant and juicy Greco di Tufo (100 percent), that spent 5 months in stainless steel tanks. A very youthful wine, pale straw yellow in color, offering intense aromas of tropical fruit, freshly cut grass, dandelion and a touch of mint. The medium-bodied palate delivers lots of citrus and passion fruit and is supported by a lively acidity. Long mineral finish. An excellent match to Mediterranean fish dishes. Drink it now and over the next 2-3 years.

  • My wife is from Napoli so we drink quite a few Grecos, and this is one of the better commercial versions. This one is being exported to quite a few places around the world so I get to enjoy it on my travels. There are better Grecos out there but this is pretty representative.
It's a great mineral white, perfect for a sunny day and any kind of seafood lunch. It smells almost sweet but on the palate the fruits are delicate and defined, not at all cloying, and with that minerality and plenty of acidity to zing your palate. For me, this is lunch in Mergellina by the sea.

  • Young, intense and fresh on the nose, this wine made is made to please. Endowed with a rather straightforward aromatic profile, it has enough material to be enjoyed on it's own. Personally, I would have enjoyed a tad more acidity. OK length. Easy to drink, but also easy to forget...

  • This is a very good and elegant white from Campania. Honey and tropical fruits on the nose. The taste is long , delicious with good acidity and nice minerality.

The wine loses its characterictics if enjoyed too cold. I propose drinking temperature of 11 - 13C. This wine suits very well with salads and seafood.
