Perfumed on the nose, a nice mix of florals, green and a touch of game. On the palate, medium bodied, with a backdrop of mineralty supporting the fruit. More acidity than is typical in California Syrah bottling. Nicely made for those that appreciate this style. I prefer something with a bit more weight and density when reaching for a bottle of syrah. Given this doesn't line up well to my preferences, $55+ seems like a poor QPR.
Hard to believe no one else has a note on this bottle.
Second bottle was amazing. A wonderful integration of acidity, tannins, savory elements, and a bit of red fruit poking through it all. Complex and quite deep on a light frame. This is what I'm looking for in syrah.
