Deep golden in the glass. Already developed nose showing lots of nuttiness, bit of sea salt, dried tropical fruit. Acidity feels tired, but not all the way. Still hanging on to strings.

Delightful, enveloping the palate and basically everything you could ever want from Villages. Great Lafon is great Lafon whether Villages or Grand Cru and this was great. Wish they could all be like this...

A few days in Burgundy; 7/13/2006-7/17/2006 (Cote d'Or): Mineral-driven, characteristic Lafon nose. Ripe and fat, but not lacking in focus. Lengthy and persistent with good depth and power for the level. Can still benefit from bottle age.

Started with minerality, finished with ripe stone fruit macerated in vanilla. Had a story to tell and didn't lose its focus.
