If you have this in your cellar, you should drink a bottle now. The palate is pure red cherry and red berry fruit, and the texture is so soft and caressing, it's where you want this to be, with added nuances of bay leaf and some spice notes. Very enjoyable. Four years since my last bottle, in December, 2015, a bbq in Florida where we debated the upcoming election; seems very far removed.

Pnp. Drinking very well with about 30 minutes of air in the glass. Copious amounts of fruit, in a balanced way, with some nice old world notes interwoven in the fruit. Just in a sweet spot IMO, but I do prefer my old world wines a bit more modern in style.

Over 2.5 years since my last bottle. This showed that Scopetone richness and forward fruit, but balanced. Good showing, with rich berry fruit and sweet earth notes. BBQ in Hallandale.

Nice rustic brunello with nose of cherries, rhubarb, earth. Palate is still a bit rough and tannins need age to smooth out, with nice red fruit, tea leaves. Finish is tart with leather, but long.

This has very good potential, but it is young and tight right now. Good precision to the red fruit, cherries and red raspberry, along with earth, some dried herbs and a slightly bitter, Amaro-like element. Nice balance, nothing sticking out. The sides are tapered and the palate shows raspberry tea and some dryness amidst the sweet fruit. Very enjoyable, but didn't really change as it aired over a few hours. I believe this is just hinting to its full potential. Bottle 1 of 2, then I ordered 6 more.

Spectacular showing for this Brunello. Beautiful color of ruby-purple but different than the typical Bordeaux coloring. Knockout nose of fresh crushed blackberries and fresh herbs. Quite a bit of structure to the palate in its youth but still very approachable, with a nice earthy-leathery edge to it. Finishes long and smooth. One of the best Brunellos I've yet experienced, so good that I immediately ordered three more bottles. Same winemaker as Valdicava, so go figure that it would be so good!

A newly opened box of cigars, thyme, cherries, plums, ink, cool fruit, perfect balance. Ready to drink, but will last.

Nice brunello. Still quite primary but this will be really good in 5 years.
