Very shy nose followed by energetic chokecherry, tobacco, and graphite. Well orchestrated acid and tannins. 10% cabernet sauvignon darkens the color and taste, moderates but doesn't obliterate the tangy tempranillo infrastructure. Classic Ribera del Duero.
Excellent modern styled RDD for the price ($14). Dark purple in color. Wonderful nose of black fruit and spice. Stewed prunes and smoke on the palate. Very fruit forward. Has a delicious factor. Recommend decanting for at least an hour to smooth things out.
Expected a fuller body and more fruity taste. Much lighter than expected. Will not buy again. I am becoming suspicious that I don't really like the Tempranillo grape wines. Will continue looking for the perfect Ribera del Duero wine.
Although some notes complain about tannins and acid, to me it is the closed down nature of the fruit. Although the wine does have nice clean flavor and polish. Not a bad buy at $12, but I don't see it improving. On the other hand if you like a more austere style of wine, this is a deal.
Soft, plummy, smooth, fruit-driven and to my taste somewhat boring. The lack of structure is a subjective flaw, but if you like the modern style RDD tempranillos these high 80's scores are probably well deserved. Fairly priced.
A very nice Ribera del Duero. Lots of plum, currant and vanilla character on both the nose and palate. Full-bodied, showing very good depth and intensity to its luscious, tangy fruit flavors. The long, rich finish features firm tannins and notes of smoke and black licorice, but is just a bit oaky. Delicious now, this will probably be even better in a year or two when the oak and tannins are more fully integrated. A tremendous bargain at just $11.75 on Cinderella Wine. 89+ 50+5+12+15+7=89
The color is deep ruby. the nose showed toasted oak, chocolate and dark cherry. The tase was much of the same but the fruit was somewhat in the background at this point. At this stage somewhat tannic. The finish had a nice lenght to it. I think it is a nice buy at $15!!
On the sight is clear, with deep intensity and ruby color. Complex nose, clean of condition with pronounced intensity of dried fruits. Everywhere vanilla, oak, and some cooked. Seems still developing wine. On palate, medium-dry, with pronounced acidity, and stalky tannins. Alcohol medium(+) - to high. Yes, fuull body, with pronounced flavor intensity of black and red fruits, with spicy tones of vanilla. Well-balanced and lengthy wine. In conclusion, needs few years to develop and will surely bring surprising aromas. recommended.
