Full body, low acid, ball-o-fruit type of syrah that doesn't have much in the way of nuance or savory type elements but is an excellent wine for the price. High quality daily drinker.

Soft, open, ripe. The needle may be closer to simple than complex but this is excellent wine for the $. I'd like more structure but that's not going to happen for $13.

Paired with grilled tri-tip. Just excellent! Andrew hit a home run with this vintage. An outstanding QPR. One of the all-time best Syrah values under $15. This is a typical Andrew Murray style, just not as heavy as some of the single-vineyard offerings. It has the pepper, smoke, and fruit that I've come to expect from Andrew.

Still one of the best QPR's around. Soy sauce, liquid smoke, asphalt, tar, and some molasses. There are dark berries in the background that are still sprinkled with fresh cracked black pepper and cocoa.

Wow, all that for $13? Soft ripe black fruits, smokey tar, mocha, minerals,... and an extra helping of goodness. Cali in demeaner but a touch Aussie as well. Soft and meaty yet with good acids and just enough structure to keep it focused. Really peaked after an hour of air. Lots to like here, especially for the price. Unmistakably good syrah. Unmistakable value.

What a delightful treat! This wine is probably one of the best QPR's ever IMHO! Dark berry with black and white pepper, a touch of vanilla, a bit of graphite intertwined in everything, and sprinkled with ground cocoa nibs! What a great little wine for 11 bucks! It has great complexity, depth, and backbone to keep everything in balance.

Really exceptional for $16. Balanced between fruit, herbs, and minerality this rich Syrah is redolent of black fruits (black currants, blackberry), with herbal, smoky spice, and even a bit of stone in the clean, crisp aftertaste. A lot of wine for $16.

Dark purple with a nose of smoke and raspberries. This is a wonderful QPR wine with red and blue fruit paving the way to a good minerality and touch of smoke on the finish. Good acidity for such a dense body. Paired well with a spicy dinner.

Soft, ripe, fleshy, round, open, and oh yeah... quite good. Probably high 80's tonight, but at this price who cares. Good Juice.

Gut reaction, I'd say that was a 90 point bottle of syrah I just drank for $13. Nah, couldn't be, could it?

Deep, complex, and a great QPR. Fruitforward with a bit of spice at the end. On night two there were more earthy notes. Hard to find a better deal.
