Medium pale yellow. Lemon confit nose. Brisk attack with some oak inflected complexity and a fine mineral line quickly making its presence known. Overall flavour profile is ripe lemon curd. Quite chiseled but good substance underneath - more weight than many Chablis. Long final.
Drinking very well now and a complete package.

after losing these in my cellar for a long while i was finally able to locate and extract them. Nicely surprised as this was showing quite a bit of development and a honeyed age, but also had a very nice saline finish. If drunk very cool i'd have no problem hanging on a bit, however this showed somewhat flabby as it warmed past cellar temps. I'd say drink up.

Drank from mag supplied by Stevie W at our Xtremo wine dinner this past week at CKH. Lovely Chablis! Pretty yellow/gold color. Slight nose of white fruit and vanilla. Medium body, oak is present and fairly noticeable, though nicely integrated. There's pleasant minerality, along with an herbal quality, and some citrus fruit. Good acidity level, nice freshness, depth and concentrated. Overall, a well-made and lovely wine.

Based on D'Artagnan's very helpful note I decanted this a couple of hours. Stored in eto and notes from 4th day. Medium yellow. Quite a subtle bouquet - it was a bit too cold - but showing some smoky minerality over a lemon confit note. Round entry, builds slowly to a mineral inflected, lemon driven mid-palate. Deft use of oak and a wonderful vibrant and slightly bittering acidity on the medium to long final sets this out as a very complete and well balanced wine. Precise and classic, albeit with a bit of welcome depth and roundness from the vintage. This definitely picked up some complexity over the 4 days from opening.
This was my first of a case of 12 and I look forward to enjoying my others.

Greenish yellow. Just great whiff of the sea and some green citrus. Light to medium body. Terrific saline/acid/bitter citrus balance and drive. Not even a touch of secondary evolution. This was an exciting bottle of Chablis that still has unrealized potential.

Pnp. Best showing so far. Still pale yellow without any evolution. This is immediately accessible, accurately drawn, the tightness (which I actually enjoy) has resolved. Slightly sweet without any flabbiness or oiliness whatsoever. Excellent minerality, concentration and length. Great Chablis on the slightly riper side of the spectrum. 94-95

A splendid sun shine in the glass. An absolute jewel at this time around and if one is Dreaming about that perfect balance between honey, citrus, flowers, slight iodine, aromas and flavors all wrapped up in a crisp and yet sweet texture; it was all in this bottle and in a way that is as harmonious as a rainbow. Cheers,

Pnp. Still a pale yellow in the glass. Love the tension the wine is showing for the first 40 min or so. Stony minerality in spades, some white fruit and citrus. Long. Later the wine becomes rounder and richer, which would be fine for a Meursault but not necessarily what I look for in Chablis. 94 initially then 92 with more air. This will for sure last another 20 years but for me might now already be in the peak drinking window.

great balance, flint and slight green edge throughout, some yellow fruit within that. Fresh now, will get better. Perfectly poised, exactly what you would hope for from this. Strangley i think i prefer villages 2010 - the sheer linear minerality and lack of fruit just nails it for me. But each to his own.

Full yellow. Some saline scents and citrus. Relatively full and glycerine texture. Rich and round, a touch of wood, orange oil, good acidic structure and stone. This seemed fully mature.

Ready for business now, seashells, flint and citrus all form a nice medium bodied sharp white wine. Zingy acidity, good balance, no signs of declining though, should still be good for at least 5+ years.

92-93 pts

Fresh and aromatic nose of citrus, mineral and grassy notes. Racy on the palate, lively acidity, at first a bit timid on the fruit but then opened up nicely with creamy palate and toast. Good QPR.

På dag en er denne litt reservert. Fin konsentrasjon, heftig syre.

Mindre intens enn forrige flaske. Føles noe knapp og lukket. Ingen hastverk med neste.

William Fevre Montee de Tonnerre 2009/2010: Pale yellow. Unlike the 2009 which is a much rounder and fuller wine, here you get plenty of minerality which in combination with this fine, sinewy texture on the palate creates this typical tension. Great Chablis. 92-93

Distinctive very pale green-yellow color. Classic MdT nose with expressive minerality. The palate is middle weight, stony on approach, a touch too sweet in mid-palate, just enough zing on finish. A good wine but considering vintage and site this once again shows to me that Fevre wines do not have the style and depth of some of their Chablis peers.

La final est longue, saline, fait saliver. drank over two night, was a little muddled, there were plenty of minerals, a touch of sulpher, a touch of unabsorbed oak, and no fruit / citrus on the palate (which made it seem a little chunky / clunky)... also seemed to lack the level of acid i would have expected... hoping my other three mags do better in a few years to a decade, didn't really change much from night one to night two either

From the opening bell, this MdT was wide open for business. Well defined, with green apple and pear leading the way, a subtle honeyed quality mid palate gives the wine an exotic tint. The best part however, was the overall weightlessness and tact that really allowed my inner wine geek to come out and play. Classy. Good acidity but felt on the closing end and finish. Without question, this in the zone now but can age further. Sadly, I have none left.

Wonderful chablis, the first I tried from this producer and I am blown away. Lime zest, green apple really make you salivate and the oak which is present but not overpowering really provide another dimension and lovely balance. This wine if kept properly has easily another 5 years ahead of it, maybe more. I cannot wait to try some of the 2010 grand crus from this producer, if they are another step up from this they must be close to perfection. For what it is worth I had a couple of Raveneau premier cru. Chablis before and this one beat those. It may well be the vintage as never had a 2010 Raveneau, but these William Fevre chablis must be considered great value in the scheme of top Burgundy.

Pale, almost straw yellow with a tinge of green. Delicate lemon and rocks on the nose. Coats the palate with citrus, notes of mint and a lovely salinity. This wine feels fairly uncompromising at this point but was delicious. Still great in an uncorked bottle left on the counter the next day. Very impressive. I tend to like my Chablis young but I have a feeling this one will improve.

Thirsty Saturday: Very young, but over the course of three hours it opened up a lot. Aromas of lime, saline, jetty rocks and seaweed, and I love it. Initially, I found this quite plump, with ripe green apple and pear, but the minerality and oceanic notes really came out after a half hour or so. Zesty minerals and lots of sea brine, but there's also some nice honey and nutty qualities. Ripe and plush, yet focused and nervy. I'd lay this down for another three years or so to see what happens. Drank with Bob, who was equally as enthusiastic.

93+ pts
Oddly, this is my first Premiere Cru from Fevre; it seems I always tend to go with the GC’s, for no real conscience reason. Well priced from a PC purchase this summer, this was solid Chablis. Very solid. Although it didn’t convey the ‘nervous tension’ that I so often adore in fine Chablis, it did produce a sense of place and structure though a clean fruit profile and persistent palate presence from the nose to the finish. Food especially helped, as each bite of a Dungeness crab cake brought out an essence of green apple and stone. Chalky texture and just a touch of discreet oak spice on the finish. My only regret is not buying more of these when PH had them for just a shade north of $30. Very fine.

Restrained and tight with just a hint of mint and sea spray to the aroma. It has tremendous depth of all things mineral in the mouth with some preserved lemon and real chalky extract to the finish. Just so clean, pure and sharp, me loves!

92-93 pts

På dag en er denne litt reservert. Fin konsentrasjon, heftig syre. Amalfisitron og skjell. På dag 3 er den vesentlig mer generøs. Fin nerve og balanse. Noe voks, antydning til røyk. Markant, men ikke sprikende syre. Mineralsk, sjøvann. Sure sitroner i en lang avslutning. La ligge, neste flaske i 2022. 91 poeng med oppside.

Oeil jaune pâle avec de légers reflets verdâtres;

Very fine.
