Drank 1-3 hours after pulling (broken) cork. Tasty PS that reminds me why I was happy to pay $30 for this 13 years ago… understanding that I would have to wait for it. Love having something like this to enjoy as a change of pace vs a CS when grilling. No need to wait, but do give it a little air.

Vinturied into decant, Still tight, angular, but in a great spot, this is exactly how I envisioned this at this stage…terrific. Very slight bricking, Drink now with air, thru 2026-9

In a great spot right now. Tannins have calmed down, and I appreciate tasty black fruits with a medium to long finish. Complex enough to match with pan fried Daikon cake w egg & Kimchi....

Thought it was time to try a Carlisle PS with a little bottle age but no, the time in the cellar has hardly made a dent in this one. Inky dark PS color. The tannins are still there, but coming into balance and by no means obtrusive. Medium-full bodied with blueberry fruit. Still showing some oak. Opens up nicely to a somewhat fruit forward wine. Still going strong after several days. Drink or hold, hold, hold.

Drank over 2 days. Spice dark fruit some meat notes to the nose. Body is well rounded with solid tannins that have lost their hard edges and grip but still present to off set the acid backbone. Great finish. Softened a little on the second day; aromatics improved with time. Love this style of wine; can't wait for the newer vintages to put in their time.

Same as my notes from six months ago. Decanted a total of three hours, which helped. There is definitely a spine left in it for sure, and enough grip to keep the frame solid throughout consumption. That said, it has transitioned into the softer side of PS at this point. It was pretty much fully resolved after some air. But ironically it wasn't displaying a lot of secondary notes. A pleasant and tamed PS nonetheless.
Personally I like just a little more kick, but this was a nice agreeable drink, especially given the varietal.
Topping out at about 91-93 points for me. In the end, I prefer the Palasades PS over this.

Powerful wine.Still quite young. Full bodied, dark fruit, strong tannins, long finish. Has not yet softened or developed any secondary notes. Matched well with gourmet burgers.

A very beautiful example of the varietal; in a near-perfect drinking window. Displaying finessed flavors of black raspberry, blackberry, purple berry/plum, and hints of blueberry. Subtle asphalt notes as well.
Missing just a little complexity for me in terms of secondary olive, charcoal, and mineral notes sometimes found in upper end PSs. This was a little more of a red/black profile versus the purple/blue/black fruit that I tend to prefer.
93 points from me. My other half thought it was a 95+, stating it was one of the most balanced and smooth PSs she had ever tasted. A solid PS, especially for the QPR. Not as intense as the Palisades series, but still noteworthy. Paired great with gojuchang meatballs.
Inky dark PS color. Opens with some robust, dry tannins which quickly lightened up. Medium-full bodied with blueberry fruit. Still showing some oak. Young and a bit closed down. I'd be tempted to hold this one.

Blackberry and blueberry notes in the nose, full-bodied and opaque, dark in the glass, drinking pretty well right, I don't know how long this one will last, but it will be awhile.

Accessible, but considerably more giving and expressive on day 2. Sturdy like a PS and smooth like a Carlisle. Limited range of flavor here compared to the Palisades -- more flat black fruits without sweeter blue fruits or floral nuance -- but I drank most of this bottle without food. Try again 2018-2022 if cellar space allows.

As a pop and pour it was youthful, tannic and an excruciatingly complex wine. I swear the wine has the bones for 20+ years of aging. Day two was a completely different experience. The wine settled and was pleasantly balanced with purple fruits, oak, spice, leather and floral notes.

Black fruit, squid ink, tar and a toasted oak finish. Really nice now but give it a other couple years to peak.
