  • we found this wine very astringent, harsh and lacking in fruit. maybe just past it's prime.

  • My last bottle of this wine. Showing a thicker profile with tar, smoke and some pepper, as well as some red and black fruits. I like the texture of this wine, kind of meaty and red in profile with a nice acidic backbone. While my first TN said this wine was getting to peak, this bottle feels like it could probably go some time more, maybe a few more years, given the acidity and stuffing.

  • Delish. Haven't had one of these in a very long time. This wine is made with Christensen fruit and I believe is the last year that Adam made the wine and called it RRV. If you've had the 03 or 04 Christensen, you'll find white pepper, game and dark fruits. In this wine, the same is present. Would say this wine is at peak, with a really smooth and mouthfilling palate of fruit, a sense of beef blood, blackberry, rich blueberry and pepper. Wine still has quite a bit of lift from the acidity but as far as tannin is concerned, you won't find much here. Drinking beautifully and really well balanced. P.S The only TN on this wine in CT is mine? Come on, someone else do one and post!
