Brick red and medium opacity. Nose not explosive but full of spice, earth, and black fruit. Fruit has subsided a bit since last taste at a friends. Blackberry, black raspberry, chocolate and spice with an earthy hint. Nice long finish. Decanted 1 hr. Very much in balance and mature.

Deep red color. Bricky rim, signals a mature wine. The nose was rich, very spanish, pepper, spice, warm and earthy. A perfect companion to grilled meat. Mature now, will not benefit from further storing. A very good wine

This wine was shy on the noes but had good grip on the palate, mid body with nice minerality, hints of tobacco, chocolate and black fruits. Drink soon.

Opened for my birthday. Was the first bottle I purchased when I started collecting wine. Decanted for 2+ hours. Has beautiful chocolate and blackberries on the nose. Add some leather and spice on the palate with a great long finish. Nicely balanced. This wine is singing right now and could go on for another 5 years. Definitely agree with Spectator and Tanzer on this over Parker. Would buy again if I could find any.

Big nose of berry, leather, camphor and maybe a little spice. Better after a few hours (Way better next day). Soft and round on the palate with the berries and leather coming through. Long finish with a touch of sweetness. This has held up quite nicely. Wish I had more.

Drank this with a roast chicken, some cous cous and a salad. Great nose (powerful), still pretty tight at the start, but it opened up nicely in the glass.

Blueberry jam, white pepper, a touch of mint on the nose. Big blueberry, blackberry attack. Dark fruit with vanilla followed by leather, dark chocolate, mint on the long finish.

Only had a little taste. It was sharp after a day in the bottle and had a lingering bitterness. Seemed a little out of balance with dominant oak and acidity. My son liked it both days.

My 1st bottle of tempranillo was a pleasant experience. The wine is similar to cab. Has soft tannins, medium fruit, spicy & a long finish. Looking forward to drinking more.

Yummy. Really a good wine at a decent price, wish we had purchased more. Casis, baked blueberry, calamata olives, cracked blacked pepper, bacon, a little wet stone and some herb on the finish. If you bought a case, be happy as this will likely improve with time but is really good now.

Tasted at Le Cirque Mexico. Aromas of dark fruits, chocolate and wet earth. In the is wonderfully well balanced, full bodied, soft tannins. I find in this vintage a bit less fruit than in the 2004, but more equilibrium. Long finish. One of my favorite wines.

Blueberry nose with pepper. Blueberry pie up front with a nice vanilla mid-palate. A nice white pepper and licorice finish with a good tannic structure. This should get even better over the next few years.

Dark ruby red, delicate nose of flowers and and intese taste of wild berries, looooong finish. Very impressive on the palate, quick a find for the price, ready to drink now. Second day tasting showed a closed up wine with none of the delicate aromas, left was only a green olive and herbal smell and the firm tannins, drink this one at once after opening.

Needs a little time to open up, but a great wine to accompany a variety of full flavored foods. A balance of fruit, carmel notes and a little stoniness with gripping tannins in the finish. A great example of a well rounded Spanish wine with character.

nice translucent garnet color, austere fruit nose (smells like a good bordeaux), smooth, spicy finish, sweet finish with good tanins, slight cherry, some minerals, oak, didn't hold up well with rich french dinner

Nose of stewed tomato, iron and chocolate or maybe caramel. A bit of sulphur too. Balanced well but definitely a food wine. Has the acid levels of a Chianti. More cherry on the palate, dark fruit, dark chocolate. Very light tannins Short finish. Day two (after a night in the fridge) leaner with more pencil shaving notes. Acid is less striking. The wine is probably a little better technically but a little less interesting.

Deep and rich with heavy, oaky cassis and chocolate. Little nuance. Nicely built wine with good structure and smooth tannins.
Second day. medium cloudy ruby color. Nose is a bit vague with subduded blackberry and black currant and hints of menthol and cedar. Today the palate offers little of the deep cassis of last night. Didn't hold up for the next day at all.

Somewhat internationally styled. Not overripe but dominated by ripe fruit and some baked/stewed fruits and bloody/scorched qualities. Clearly spanish but not huge typicity. Perhaps it needs time. Good wine and was definitely well like by all, but not great.

Probably drank too early, but my impression of this wine isn't as positive as others'. On opening with no decant, got a distinct nose of ammonia or nail polish, though it did seem to fade with air. Other than that, very nice fruit on the nose and in the mouth, but seemed disjointed and a bit hot. After maybe half an hour open, the tannins became more apparent and the wine felt more balanced.
