Disappointing wine from a great vintage in Chile. Perhaps I opened it a bit too late, with 10 years being the benchmark. All the elements are in place but they are fading, especially the fruit, and not benefitting from further age. Purchased in Chile for around $120, I now have a 2005 left along with a Don Melchor, Casa Silva Altura, Altair and Don Maximiano, all from the same vintage. Will see how those fare. As for the 2007 Ge, classic notes of green pepper and red fruits, medium acidity and tannin.

Unmistakeably Chilean with blackberries, loam, ripe black fig, sweet tobacco, moccha, chocolate and sweet spice. Full-bodied and dense with velvety tannins, huge extract and balancing acidity. Very long aftertaste. Now-2020+. Chilean wine at its best.
