Very floral bouquet once decanted. Lush and creamy with a lingering finish. Chocolate flavors prominent with strong black fruit notes. Outstanding QPR. Although it is good straight out of the bottle, it is much better with a short decant (< 1 hr).

Pop and pour ... Such a beautiful wine. Rich and full, with blue-black fruits to open. A hint of chocolate covered cherry, with tannins sweetened but still present. Nice structure and stuffing for a very well-balanced wine. Punches way above the price point I paid (>$30) and is holding up and maturing beautifully. Definitely wish I'd gone in for more than half a case. Thanks to the Wine Barn in Orlando for turning me onto this one. Great find!

Vanilla, Medium Body, Very Nice Wine. Served with smoked rib eye, could have used something with a little more spice... but still this was a great bottle of wine.

My review from 8-31-2013 still stands. Too much oak and tannins a bit much. Otherwise nice. Score 88-90 range based on one's palate that day and food pairings, etc. Doubt the oak will ever mellow.

Approx. 30 min. decant ... Big and bold. Blueberry pie on the nose and palate, followed up with cream and coffee and Christmas spice. Rich and lush. Still a bit hot, even with the air, which is my only real knock. There's acid for balance and a good tannic backbone to support the fruit. This is a really good wine, especially for the price. Extremely impressed.

Had my last bottle of this a year ago and noted then "...very Napa cab but fruit is subdued as tannins & oak show through." After another year, this is still too oaky and astringent for me. I decanted for 4 hours and consumed over 3 more hours and the oak never faded and the fruit never came forward. This still smells great but fails to deliver on taste. Served with grilled ribeye steak and the tannins were still too much. Previous reviews from "earlylight" and "pickhardt" are also spot on.

Moderate-plus viscosity leaves legs slowly falling down the glass to the dark ruby colored wine below that has shows day bright reflection and medium-plus concentration.
After 2 hour decant aromas of blackberries, cherry pie, blueberries, clove and vanilla upfront with cedar, chocolate, caramelized oak, and rose petals on the nose as well with hints of creme anglaise. The full bodied palate has a silky texture with fine grained, moderate tannins and balanced acidity. Flavors of blackberry, dark cherry, oak, and clove spice are met with vanilla bean, chocolate ganache and french vanilla ice cream that push through a dense mid palate and onto the lingering finish that is moderate-plus in both intensity and length and lingering on notes of spice cake.

Enjoyable, but not "knock your socks off." Dark color suggested a depth that wasn't borne out in reality. But no big complaints -- looking forward to enjoying the remaining bottles in my cellar.

Dark color. Smells great! Taste is just a bit lighter than the color would suggest with oak and tannins still too prominent. A very Napa cab but fruit is subdued as tannins & oak show through. This is a very nice wine and I probably consumed way too soon. Will purchase another bottle and let it sit for 2+ years.

I'm not a big fan of Cabernets usually but I quite like this wine. Its a little young but I find it very drinkable. Its a regular in my wine refrigerator and shared with special friends.

Call me a Cab(ernet)! (Next Wood Fired Bistro & Vino Bar): Lots of fruit on the nose - plum, blueberry, and cherry, along with mocha and cooking spice. Rich and velvety on the palate, with cherry and blueberry fruit, some chocolate, and a nice spicy finish.

Too young, but you can taste nice fruit, smooth, it's just the tannins & youth get in the way right now. Tight the 1st night; 2nd half of bottle better the 2nd night.

A lovely Cabernet with nice oaky dark fruit aromas and flavors. Very approachable now with black plum, black cherry and some slight licorice undertones. Sandlewood and a bit of dark chocolate as well framed with soft tannins and a nice finish.

Fantastic bottle. It was a little reluctant at first but opened up wonderfully after about two hours in the decanter. Very dark and rich with telltale napa characteristics.

After an incredible 2007 and 2008 vintage of Caravan, the 2009 is back to its "old" self. Still get some nice cherry cola and tasty red fruit but the lushness is missing and the finish is now more tannic than ever. What's more disappointing is that they raised the price about $10 more in ever store I've seen this so far. Oh well.
-- Consumed at at cellar temp: 60°-65° F. Friends don't let friends drink red wine at room temp!

Nice subtle nose, soft fruit, and tannins have eased since my last bottle 2 years ago, though there are enough tannins if you want to hold for a year.

Good wine, but not a good QPR for me. Deep and dark - but maybe more anise or leather than fruit. For the money, there are many I have enjoyed more.
