Great summer food wine. Paired with grilled chicken and vegetables. This wine is a food wine. By itself, it's an underwhelming Sauvignon Blanc. However, when paried with food, and in this case spicy food, the minerality makes it work like a Riesling, except sweeter. I appreciated the sweetness given that the chicken I was having was spicy. And so will you.

We had this with seafood tapas at a friends house on 5/10/13. It had a fresh, intense and inviting bouquet of pear, apple, citrus, mineral and spice aromas. The palate was rich, fresh and dry with flavors of pear, apple, lime, chalky minerals and spice.

Well balanced and decent flavor and lower acid than I expected. Tasted from a preservation machine at 57 deg F. Round gentle aroma of cooling sea mineral, old tea leaves and flowers in the nose; chewy mineral and old dried leaves, fruit (ctirus), and some spice mid-palate; finishes with a not-strong baked citrus (lemon and mandarin) flavor.

Pop and pour. Medium nose, medium plus body. Clean finish. Light notes of cream. However, with an interesting wet stone and white pepper component. Wine evolved from a quince, ripe apple and melon toward more of a green apple influence. However, the finish is wet stone with a touch of bitterness on the sides of the tongue which add to the structural complexity and clean finish.

Very pleasant quaffer. Smells and tastes like a hot climate Sauvignon Blanc. An abundance of citrus notes, particularly grapefruit. Fruity, with noticable Old World terroir. Robust, almost flamboyant and easy drinking.

petrol and acid and alcohol - and some very tart sour granny smith apple. but where's the rest of the fruit? where's the balance? definitely a step down from 2009.

Good QPR wine, but not my favorite. Pale yellow in color, with some slate, mineral, lemon, and grapefruit notes. Not bad, and I would try it again, but it needs food to balance some of the competing flavors in the wine. Would also recommend with light appetizers like grilled scallops.

color: pale yellow; nose: faint grass; taste: light mouth feel, flinty taste, short mineral finish; overall: tasty and polished, but a little taciturn -- probably would pair w/oysters or light appetizers

Garigiste Test Drive - Fall 2011 (With Winex and WB add-ons): Pop/pour. If I were to sniff this blind, I'd probably peg it as a fruit-rich Sauv Blanc with just a touch of the normal grass. Apples on the nose. On the palate, a rich fruit nicely married against a stony minerality. Long on the finish. A steal at $10/btl, this case will not last long in our house.

Fresh crisp mineral driven white. Ideal for summer. Worked particularly well with grilled lemon and oregano chicken.

Nice light to medium bodied white wine that is good with or without food. Some citrus fruit and minerality with the "wet stone" finish. Buy again: Yes

Nice and light with some minerality, citrus and lemon zest akin to a Napa sauvignon blanc.

Delicious stuff, this is crisp and complex with straw, apple, lemon and creamy Meyer lemon flavors that are complicated by pepper notes on the palate.
