Based on other reviews we ran this through the Venturi several times. It had a hint of smoke on the nose with a sweet fruit forward aroma as well as a slight alcohol presence. Dark cherry, plumb, and raisin as well as other dried fruit come to mind as it hits the tongue. The finish was pleasant but nothing to brag about. This went surprisingly well with an arugula, blue cheese, date sales with a sweet vinigerette. It also finished of well with some dark chocolate.

Slightly floral bouquet. Loads of blackberry and black currant on the palate, with minimal acidity and smooth tannins. Alas, you can really feel the alcohol on the finish. Drink up now.

Very subtle red berry on the nose almost masked by the alcohol. Pronounced initial alcohol quickly turns into flavors of smokey rasberry that linger and end with spice. Not very complex but enjoyable. This needs to sit out for an hour and be aerated to get the best out of this bottle. Tannins are tamed but I think another year in the cellar will allow it to hit its peak.

We really liked this one. Rich garnet-ruby in color, an earthy nose with hints of spice, solid mouthfeel with nice dark fruit and lingering finish. Good tannin and acid structure, seemed to hit the right balance for being a full-bodied wine with a nice 14% alcohol level.

Pop and ran through vinturi. Not much going on with the nose - hints of red fruit and earth. On the palate, very juicy but focused red and dark berries with spice and floral notes. Wonderful acidic lift extends the finish and makes this great with food. Perfect math with red pepper pesto linguine and a great value at $9.79.

Very odd, so decanted, opened up brilliantly. Purple colour, berry, deep heat, alcohol on nose. Soft, dark fruit, opens in mouth revealing softer red fruits. Good length.

Ruby red. Thin legs. Muted nose with a ton of vanilla and some red fruit. OK midpalate and medium finish. Too much oak, lacking balance. Good QPR though.
Paired with chicken caldereta, which worked out well.

90% Carignan 10% Grenache, good QPR wine from K&L. Dark red color, structure, not complex but drinkable. A wine most consumers would enjoy, and most geeks would be somewhat interested in. 91 points by Tanzer & Wine and Spirits Mag.

Dark garnet color with violet, herbal, dark fruit aromas. On the palate between light, and medium bodied with well moderated tannins, good acidity, and raspberry, dark cherry with a touch of spice flavors. Medium finish. S/S fermented 14% ABV.

Very nice red berry flavor with medium body. Seems typical of Montsant wines to me - medium to light color, good flavor, decent drinker for sipping and for food. This wine had a acidic "clean up" finish to it that could but some off, but I appreciated it with the food. Excellent value - I ordered more.

Light garnet. Nose moderate with clean fruit - cherry mostly. Light mouthfeel with moderate tannins and acid. Some fruit and oak (too much). Moderate finish. Above popped and poured. May get back with followup.
