No details notes but memory of it being a bigger style but not over powering. Good fruits, acidity, tannin with slight hot finish. Got lots of life left

From the moment we opened this bottle, we noted aromas of black cherry and red currant alongside secondary notes of spice, earth and strawberry. A big, medium to full bodied Pinot with intense flavours of cherry and spice, without being overpowering. Very smooth, balanced and wonderfully complex amidst so many different descriptors! It’s showing no signs of breaking down and drinking beautifully now…so why wait? www.advinetures.ca

Initial punch of alcohol, which settles down a little over time. Fairly big nose of fruit, but overwhelmed with alcohol. Dry and crisp, with notes of pomegranate and cranberry, which meld into dark cherries. Some bitterness, which are reminiscent of grape seeds, which some people like. Also some pepper. Lingers. Nice long overtones of the cherry.

Smooth and fruity, tasting of blackberries and raisins with just a touch of spice upon opening. I was all set to give it a 90 or better, but it seemed to fall apart as the evening went on and picked up more acidity than perhaps it should.

Please see late review by Swaggering Beaunie. Many of his comments resonate. The color/scent/flavor descriptors are largely 'on' in my view.
Have drunk 6 bottles of over months at a good price. Enjoyed but didn't feel I could fully assess the wine. Initially, fruit carried the wine and it was quite enjoyable. At those times I saw it as a 90-92 point wine based on immediate gratification. Over time the baby fat has almost gone and though still fully drinkable, it feels awkward.
There is primary fruit left, considerable tannin for a CA pinot (burgundies are more tannic but much more balanced with long lives), and a drying finish. It feels as if there is insufficient acidity to relative to tannin and oak, much more oak than I initially detected (more evident for me in other varietals). It does need more years, but the question is "to what end". It is difficult to see this wine being more than a high 80's because as primary fruit fades, any bottle developed flavor won't be served with adequate acidity and the oak will tend to dominate. Old oaky wines - whether Bordeaux, Burgundy, or pinots - are not exciting.
Bottle variation will drive evolution in terms of drinking. If yours still have the wonderful fruit that was present in youth, my suggestion is drink and enjoy. This isn't a typical Sonoma Coast, the best of which are similar Beaune Premier Crus. I believe the future will not be much more enjoyable than now.
Score is based on "now+".
Addendum: On the 2d day the wine is only marginally pleasant, almost sink wine. This is an ill signal.

Pungent nose. Tart rhubarb-cranberry fruit; herbal, earthy, floral notes, briar and oak, Christmas spicee. Interesting combination of tart and dry. Slightly hot finish.

Initial nose was reductive, which blew off after a couple of minutes in the glass, to reveal a faint mix of strawberry, raspberry, and oak.
Color: deep garnet.
Palate: Delicate mix of red and black fruits; lots of oak, fairly tannic. Pleasant acidity. Some vegetal/leafy taste at the end.
Finish: fairly short, somewhat drying. Slight medicinal taste, along with some bitter cherry pit.
Overall, a drinkable but not memorable PN; surprised that the community average for this wine is 90, it's not anywhere near that. I think this wine is much too young to drink now, and will gain a few points after years more of cellaring, when the oak will lie down a bit. Might be improved by several hours of aeration. I'll post an addendum if this is so.
Day 2: Wine is slightly improved, not enough to change the rating. Still obviously many years away from its prime.

This is rich and intense, yet smooth and very drinkable. Nice flavor profile. Picking up more blue berry flavors this time. A mature wine. Glad we got 4 more when offered again by WTSO. Not sure how much better this will get.

really liked this one...almost reminded me more of a russian river pinot with the intense concentrated dark cherry and smooth tannin. No decant, P&P and drank over two hours, great open flavor throughout, hopefully has more bottle life left!

Popped and let come up from cellar temp for 30 minutes. real cork used, had a very small amount of sediment on it and in bottle neck (wine is unfined / unfiltered). Nose was bright with aromas of black cherry. Palate is medium with with a silky texture. Was getting a nice spice flavor on the finish. A really nice pinot. 5,13,16,6=90

Drank for daddy's 101st b-day. A very full, warm, balanced and deep purple wine. Even better with a 10-15 minute chill in refigerato.
