Whoa, slow down cowboy on this one…. We opened ours with an initial reaction that the wine was wrapped tight with a stem finish- but wait, four hours later that magnificent Maresh nose emerged with all the front fruits and perfume finish!

Gorgeous Willamette,Valley Pinot noir. It lives up to its name. Elegant and balanced from beginning to end. Thanks to the vintage and the winemaking, it’s relatively low in alcohol and has just enough acid to keep its balance after all these years. It’s drinking beautifully now and I’m not sure it can improve, but I’m happy to have 5 more bottles.

This was very good and classic Dundee pinot; lovely nose of red fruit, baking spice, a hint of oak, damp leaves. The palate has good balance and delivers a nice, elegantly styled pinot where everything seems in place.

Very nice "delicate" Pinot. Light color and nose with fruit and flower notes. Soft fruit (strawberry?) in the mouth with a silky feel. Soft, but persistent finish.

Secret Santa bottle - Delicate and red fruited on pop and pour. After an hour or so, black and red cherry, blackberry, plum, flowers, soil, smoke, and a hint of beef jerky on the nose. Red cherry, tart cherry, cranberry, earth, a little cedar, and herbs on the palette. Good tart acidity, integrated tannins, med-long mellow finish. Good complexity. Delicious, asks for a nice meal. Overall, I really enjoyed this Pinot. It comes across delicate, but there's a lot going on. Great with my meal of roast chicken. I know this will be even better in about 3-5 years.

Just plain good! Cherry and some light floral on the nose. Light in color. Silky in the mouth with emerging cherry and strawberry and some wood on the finish. Very nice!

Another bottle from Monsieur Trimpi - noticeably lighter in color than the Lapierre. Great pinot nose, with a nice dash o' funk accenting the red berries - an overused descriptive, but this is a very Burgundian nose.
Light-bodied, red-fruited, and maybe a little thin/dilute for my tastes - the palate can't quite match the nose, but still all in a nice wine on a Monday night. We'll see if this fleshes out with some air as well.

This bottle was a stunner. Pours very pale, but the crystalline Rabaja like cherry, strawberry, and rhubarb fruit leaps out of the glass, with nice mineral, rose, and just a touch of earth. Deceptively mid bodied and consistent across the palate. It carries some weight, with plenty of fruit and tannin, and has a pleasing persistent finish. Wish I had much more of this.

Continue to love these wines. Very delicate, rose and light fruit on the nose. Flavors light raspberries, slight spice and some forest floor. Just a hint of that Oregon funk. I will hold my other bottles for awhile. I think this has room to improve.

STG does Oregon Pinot (Ed's house): My WOTN This was just very pretty. Delicate, yet flavorful, I found it altogether delightful. I don't have extensive notes, but it was by far my preferred wine at the tasting. I could drink this every day.

Got an early look at the pre-release 2010 Audrey at La Paulee de Carlton. This is going to be a gorgeous, elegant Scott Paul. Can't wait to try again on release.

4th Annual Pinot Extravaganza with Salmon Dinner (Eugene, Oregon): I will admit I always do like Scott Paul, it has that elegant sweet intense fruit very cherry/cranberry/strawberry
Conc: Love it, just like the 08, 09 vintages before it

More fruit forward than I'd expected, and less intense. May have tried it too young
