  • Herbal grassy nose, medium weight with a palate of citrus and asparagus, good balance. The flavor profile was similar to the Grgich Hills Fume. Not my favorite style but very interesting flavors.

  • From one of my favorite Chilean producers, this is my first from the 2011 vintage. Even though it is about 18 months off the vine, it still tastes pretty young. There is that overwhelming flavor combination of lime peel with asparagus and green beans overshadowing the fresh fruit. The color is light golden. The nose is slightly grassy, herbal, and tropical fruit. There is still a green theme on the fruit across the palate, some of it grassy, some of it vegetative. As the wine gets some air in the glass, there is a "normalization" towards what we expect. Solid medium bodied. Fresh acidity to keep things balanced and interesting. Still some greeness on the finish. We will look forward to drinking many bottles until the next vintage.
