4th Saturday Group brown bagger (Rich & Dana's): This has got the palest yellowish pink color I have ever seen- this looks like a rosé only by the slimmest of margins. Aromas of melon, pear and florals. Has a subtle Riesling-like petrol quality, but also peach, melon and mineral nuances. Bright acidity with a fine bead. I guessed Languedoc (and should have ended the night right there on a high note). L1236 5165.

Time, give this time! Initial taste was good but about an hour later, this wine has really come together.
Pale copper, salmon color. Creamy strawberries and lemon curd on the nose; crisp yet full layered body of berry fruit and mineral/steel; 10+ second finish.

This was to be had with Thanksgiving dinner but was eventually paired with leftovers 4 days later.
First glass was good enough but the alcohol was not well integrated. The second glass was really worth writing home about. This is barely rose colored and more of an orange tinted gold. Medium bubble structure though this last glass is a getting a bit bubble-less. Toasty framed aromas of strawberries and raspberries. Creamy delicious body of berry flavors. Short to moderate finish. Fantastic QPR at ~$16USD.

An overachieving wine, with nice yeasty notes and complex stone fruit and citrus flavors.

Another excellent showing. Similar to 11/28/11. I think this would make a great ringer/decoy in a Champagne rose tasting.
