Still bright and fruit filled after this much aging. Looks like it could go several more years, but I can't imagine it would improve from where it is today. Very smooth. Tannins have eased out. Medium body.

The word of the day is smooth. Super soft tannins and ripe fruit. Some friends shared the bottle with me and remarked how much they liked the wine, and they do not prefer California cabs. Winner winner!

Another year from previous note, decanted 2 hrs, ruby color, big nose, medium mouthfeel, medium length finish, gentle tannins/oak but seemed sour, lost some body.

I didn't realize this was my last bottle when I pulled it. ( I-pad was recharging)
Did the usual routine, Venturried into ships decanter, then into large globe glasses. Drank over dinner and afterwards.
Very good SLD flavor profile. Ruby color and a Red fruit nose with a bit of pepper spice and hint of blue/blackberry in the finish with subtle tannins and oak.
A very nice effort. I think I recall this was considered for the 300 release, and I like it a bit more, sorry it was my last bottle.

Decanted for 1 hour. The original case & 1/2 is down to 4 bottles and each one has been big smooth and now better with time. This is one of CH's specialty lots that are a great value on nice wine.

Waited 18 months per previous note, decanted only an hour, nice plum color, wife loved the inviting nose, medium mouthfeel, medium+ length finish with some oak and broad/gentle tannins, not much fruit but hard to put glass down, great QPR at $23, bumped rating 4 pts.

Very nice. Highly viscous and fruity. almost Zin-like mouth feel, but lots of Cab fruit. Decanting helped take off a little edge that you get when it is first opened. Probably will age well.

Gave this to a client as a celebration gift and they loved it. I did have a small amount the evening they opened it and this has stayed very consistent for me. In fact, I ordered more because every time I give it to a client they really enjoy it - as do I :). The nose is wonderful on pop and this time they had another couple of Cabs open (family party) and they all liked this one better! I use these as table wines or gifts and really enjoy this wine! It remains a great QPR!

Very nice fruit forward wine with hints of oak and vanilla. Lasted longer than most in this price range, saw some for $20 which is an absolute steal for this, will buy more for sure.

decanted for 2 hours and found it to be surprisingly good, considering how young the wine is. Small fruit with strong tannins, with a chalky like texture left on the tongue.... less fruit than Lot 300, but that may change as the tannins soften

Decanted 4 hrs, semi-transparent ruby color, light nose, medium mouthfeel, medium length finish with some bite, not sure if tannins or oak, would like more fruit, will wait another year for next one.

Great nose, almost overripe a bit. I was prepared for a syrupy experience yet it was very good in the mouth. I decanted about 1.5-3 hours from start to finish. I didn't notice a huge increase in quality of that span. Tannins smoothed out but were definately there. Overall, a very good wine but finishes behind CH 300 which has more complexity too it. Don't get me wrong, this wine was delicious and is a solid 90 for me but I am not sure how the ripe nose and fruit will. Young but may be an early and very enjoyable drinker.

nose - sweet dark fruit - cassis? mouth - very juicy in the mouth, perhaps even a touch candied in a yummy way. Moderate tannins. Possibly a touch simplistic but nevertheless delicious. --- retried after being open and exposed to air at room temp for 24 hrs. the nose is largely dissipated, the mouth shows a lovely core of red fruit (almost tutti fruity) followed by some serious tannins on the finish. A day of open air has proven this wine to be no wimp, and i may be liking it even more at this stage. The question is will the tannic backbone recede before the fruit.

This wine has mellowed out considerably. Still rich with lots of fruit, though.

Clean purple fruit on the nose. Raspberries, dark cherries and fig. Front loaded on the palate, a little chalky, overall very nice wine.

Time is serving this wine well, it's drinking like wines of twice the price, smooth and big, soft tannins perfect with a steak.

2 hour decant really snoothed out the tannins, I must just give this more cellar time, because it will get even better.
