Perfumed nose but sadly a little past it’s prime, no longer balanced, just tertiary notes left of tobacco and bacon on palate. Still enjoyable but was probably at its peak 5-8 years ago. Edit: pumped the air out and re-opened 2 days later, notes of confit red fruit and tomato sauce.

This is why I love great red Burgund wines. Great nose with tobaco, chocolate, dried red fruit, acidity and tanins pleasantly present. Truly great wine. it is a fight between only wanting to put your nose in or drinking..... Drank March 14, 2020

Popped and poured. 6th and best bottle from a 6-pack purchased at auction middle of last year. Lots of black fruit aromas with some liqueur hints. The most fresh bottle on both nose and palate. Black cherry and blackberry flavors are fleshy, dense and well concentrated with good overall structure and balance. At a very good place now, good for probably another decade. Best 15-30 minutes after opened, less exciting 2 hours later.

Fresh black fruit aromas with a hint of liqueur. Also fresh flavors with some meaty, sauvage character and dense spice. The best bottle of the six-pack I've been working through the past few months. Very good.

Lots of fresh black fruit aromas with plenty of spice. A little woodsy on the palate with plenty of firm tannins. Structure and firmness balance the fruit density well, making me think this is just entering its peak drinking window.

All black fruit aromas with some meaty spice, still showing a hint of new oak. Same blackberry and black cherry flavors, some spice hints, still a bit too firm in the middle, but good power and balance on finish. Two identical bottles.

Dark raspberry colour. On the nose I found red fruits, mineral, balsamic and earthy notes. Savoury and spicy on the palate, perfect acidity, strawberry, tobacco, red fruits. Some spiciness and excellent after taste. Delicious, smooth and perfectly paired with meat dishes, only its price keeps this wine to a bigger score.

I opened the bottle from one of my favorite producers and... "Producer, producer, producer.." just flew out of the window, the bottle hasn't delivered anything remote what I like Jacques Prieur for. Good year, good producer, unremarkable wine and lots of lost expectations.
"Producer, producer, producer.." my ass.

Still has a floral nose and some berries. Round with a small amount of tannin which breaks down quickly. Has aged nicely. 30 minutes of decanting made the wine very smooth and soft The wine looks Violet colored. The legs are Medium. It smells of Rose. It tastes Black currant (cassis). The body is Light/Medium. The wine is textured Polished. The wine finishes Medium.

Drank with wild mushrooms risotto. Delicious. Last bottle ;-(
The wine looks brick colored. There is moderate sediment in the bottle.

Ever so slightly corked. Wouldn't have normally thought it corked, but I had two fresher, more vibrant bottles from the same case last month.
