It has been almost 2 years since we last talked about this tasty little Prosecco. I'm sure this is an entirely different batch. This one seems much more intense than previous. There is a very quick hitting, juicy hit of peach, pear, melon, honeysuckle and lemon on the lips that continues on through the finish. Fresh and very lively bubbles. Super balance. A little toasty on the finish.
Nothing bad, but not much good -a simple, straightforward Prosecco that's fine for casual drinking. I used mine for a Prosecco mimosa, which is perfect, since the orange juice is providing all the flavor.
This was very interesting, in that it is a semi dry. I thought it would be a semi sweet. Once I got over the shock of it being dry. It was a nice little bottle. Refreshing if you can say that about a semi-dry.
Another winner from the Cupcake people. I don't think I have ever tasted anything from them I don't like. We did not exactly have high expectations. This was less than $7 at World Market. We opened it at 5 PM for happy hour with cheese, salami, and crackers and it worked perfectly. It is a little sweet, kind of heavy, and admittedly simple. There is plenty of fresh peach, grapefruit, and melon. Nice refreshing small bubbles. Easy on the palate. good job.
Very pale, barely a light straw-colored in the glass. Delicate nose of melon and butterscotch. Definite notes of peaches and subtle cream with a slight bitter aftertaste of chemical sweetener. Surprisingly, rather nice overall.
