Light gold in color. Nose of caramel, butterscotch, brioche, candied ginger, and slight orange. Flavor of baked peach and candied orange. Intense in the entry with strong flavors up front and flavors fade. Only slight dryness on the finish.

What a few more years of bottle age does! Classic notes of almonds, raspberries, cherries and even a little brioche, surprisingly. Acidity is nice and well balanced. This was really a fine wine and we really enjoyed drinking it.

My preferred CA sparkler. Nice depth, a bit of grapefruit and lemon zest on the palate with bold yeast on the finish. Pale straw color. Yeast on the nose, tiny, abundant bubbles.

Fine bubbles and mouse. Nose was bursting with yeasty goodness, tart apples and wet river stones. On the pallet, baguette, candied lemon, green apple, aspirin and slate. Very lively in the mouth. Medium plush finish. This tasting reminds me why I love this wine. I always try to keep some on hand and will continue to do so.

yeast, bread dominate, perfumed top notes, slight funk and green apple…fine bead. On the palate the wine has juicy acidity with flavours of tart apples, slightly dusty quality, phenolic grip in the mid palate, and some bread notes, the mousse is fine. Quite nice, crisp and refreshing.

Anniversary Dinner (The Anvil Club, East Dundee, IL): Notes of apple, clay, toast and stone with a subtle wet dough quality. Nice fruit on the palate, with a certain masculine quality compared to the lighter, crisp Domaine Carneros that preceded it. Nice roasted apple adn toast notes on the finish. 91+ pts.

Very light golden color in the glass. Pretty fine bubbles. Sauerkraut on the nose for first 15-20 minutes was heavy at first, but settled nicely into a fresh note with honey, guava and crushed strawberries. Sweetness but clean and balanced. Lovely.

A: Mid straw/gold N: Banana (JTH note), apple, very bready, creamy oak and DOUGH P: JTH got some spinach. There is bread, dough, backed apple, woody apple skin and distinctive blueberry on this. A woodiness persists as you drink. Alcohol higher than i like at 13%.
C: Bit dull really. Love this producer but this isn't their finest work.

Pretty copper color with lots of pin prick bubbles and sourdough bread dough, persimmon, and tangerine aromas. On the palate, it has an explosive, yet delicate mousse with persimmon, tangerine, and vanilla flavors with hints of honey and Queen Anne cherries. Medium long finish.

Delicious again. Consumed as Rose Parade passes by so the atmosphere certainly has effect, but after having several sparklers over the holidays, this really holds it's own against many of the NV Frenchies. Doesn't seem to have the acidity to hold up for the ages, though. Highly recommend for the tariff, the classy package, and overall enjoyment therein. 4+11+17+8 = 90

Barley golden hue with a fine, creamy mousse. Although it initially comes across as light, delicate, and lean, it is high-toned with a flashy beam of crisp acidity. Yeast, brioche, lime, citrus, vanilla, baking spices, and cream flavors augment its great texture. Closes with a long, mineral-inflected lemon citrus punch. Acts more like a Blanc de Blancs than it does a Blanc de Noirs. Outstanding.

Honeymoon Wine Tasting; 6/25/2012-7/3/2012 (California - Napa & Sonoma Counties): Tasted at Winery. 91% Pinot Noir, 9% Chardonnay. Light golden in color, with a mild aroma of fruit, buttery oak, and nuts. The flavor is predominately citrus, with a heavier mouthfeel. Sparkles on the tongue with sweetness. Moderate length finish with minimal complexity.

This year is just excellent right out of the box. The wine tastes like it has aged much longer, softer and very-well integrated flavors of buttered bread with subtle acids. The finish is flawlessly clean.
