The color is dense and opaque red-violet. The intense aroma reveals dark chocolate, sweet and jammy blackberries, sweet cherry, eucalyptus, and blueberry. The tastes are cherry, blueberry, dark chocolate, espresso, vanilla, and blackberry. There is a little acidic grip on first taste and the tannins are slightly dusty and this wine has a nice, long finish. This is a fruit forward wine.
- Brick color - Stunning wine for the QPR. Underrated and great buying for everyday cosumption. Well balanced stone fruit and rasberry aroma and medium on finish, this everday quaffer packs a punch way above its price tag.
Fantastic price/quality ratio. For A$14 you get a four year old medium bodied red which has enough structure to drink now or keep for 2-3 years more. But why wait? 20 minutes in the decanter and it's ready to go. Drink it by itself or with your meal, grab a dozen to give to mates. Excellent.
Very elegant one. Slight oak and vanilla smell nose. The palate is interesting. Red fruits taste such as red berry and strawberry comes out first in the mouth. Aftertaste is blackfuits-like such as blackcurrant. The structure is well balance. Not thick and not tannic. A few minutes of breathing in glass can awake the spices and pepper elements up and it adds a bit complexity. High quality price ratio.
