Big rich wine, well integrated. All fruit, tannins not noticeable but not really showing its age either. A happy find in the rack to go with the pork tenderloin tonight.

Decanted for half an hour before tasting. I haven't touched any of my Big Basin wines for awhile but this one tempted me tonight. Probably would be better in two or so more years but very, very nice right now. Brambly fruit...nice amount of tannins and a long finish. Good stuff!

Tasted non blind at home. PnP and also decanted for 3 hrs and drank along the way. Beautiful candied flower, red fruit and spice nose. Intense on the palate with more of the same from the nose with the addition hot peppers, plums, licorice and sour cherries. Very long and consistent finish. Medium acidity, medium tannins. While a very high ABV wine, it handles it very well and isn't very noticeable. I don't particularly like the style but if you like Grenache heavy blends, this one is a player.

Challenging. Ripe and heavy. Tasty, but not any easy drink.
