Double-decanted. This was OK at first pop, but very hot, somewhat thin and with a lot of grip in the mouth. At D+2 it was starting to gain some meat, and lose some of the grip. At D+6 it still wasn't all that special, but very big in the flavour department. Now, at D+24 (I'm taking it to some friends for dinner in an hour) it's really become pretty nice - all soft dark fruits with a little honey and brown sugar, but not in a sickly way - deep dark purple, almost opaque, long legs - long long finish - some heat in the stomach. A very fruity port - which, luckily, is how I like them.

Tasted non blind at a wine dinner. Opened and served immediately. Followed over 4 days.
Purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of melted black licorice, sorghum, Kirsch, black pepper and a bit of wet stones. Flavors of black currants, black licorice, dried plums and pepper on the finish. Medium acidity, full bodied. Drink or hold. I'd likely hold. No rush.

Portugal Tasting (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had graphite and licorice, blackberry and black currant. The palate was very smooth, and had raisin, blackberry, pencil lead.

CT Texas Offline #2; 11/5/2010-11/6/2010 (McKinney, TX): Inky, almost black. Concentrated and pure. Excellent balance now, fairly soft in structure, but sure to drink well for another 10 years.
