(2010 Bruno Clair tasting with two reference wines) Medium-fullish, developed nose. Spicy and herbal. Small strawberry and cinnamon. Very pure and clean. Gently oaky. Medium-fullish, soft palate. Velvety texture. Very good concentration. High acidity. Almost Chambolle-like in its expression. Elegant, but perhaps lacking a bit Vosne spiciness and complexity. Very, very Pinot. Drink or hold.

This was excellent; the nose was beautiful with pure fresh red berry fruits, classic Vosne spices, perfumed floral notes, and just a hint of spice and mineral. The balance and concentration on the palate were stellar and it has the classic 2010 feel of elegance while still delivering plenty of punch. Can easily go another decade + as it hasn't really developed any secondary notes yet, but if you want it for fruit would drink within the next few years.

Perfect cork, medium ruby, perfumed nose escaping the bottle. Elegant drink with a long finish and most tannins resolved. I have three more and will enjoy them over the next 12 months.

Burgundy Dinner with Friends (Sun Wah): Lush and completely forward with so much yummy red cherry and berry, nicely spiced and floral with nearly sweet Asian five spice. Tasty right now, this is charming with moderate follow-through.

Perfect cork. Decanted for 30 minutes. Medium ruby. Drinking really well right now. Possibly a bit of improvement to come but absolutely delicious burgundy to enjoy.

Having acheived the requisite decade in bottle for Beaumonts, I somewhat impulsively decided to pop the cork on this bottle on this smoky California summer day Light ruby in color N- sour cherry, burnt sugar, Asian spice. A promising start M - starts off focused, a bit of black tea, somewhat light and then broadly expands across the midpalate revealing sour cherry, sappy raspberry, potpourri of spice, supremely elegant, with some savory elements as I contemplated it, and with more than a touch of caramel on the finish which I suspect is the oak. Deceptively flavorful considering its light color and hesitancy on first interaction with the taste buds. Honestly I was a bit skeptical about this producers approach to this Cru, but all in all a fine wine. Drink now or hold 5 yrs+.

Opened and decanted for one hour. Perfume showed up right away. Elegant with a nice long finish. Probably still improving but definitely can be enjoyed right now with a short decant.

Light to medium ruby and translucent. Delicious right from the start. Nose opened after about 15 minutes. Elegant wine with a long finish. At about the one hour point it really firmed up. Superb wine and another three years will make it better.

Dinner at Shelter in the Woods. This was actually my wine of the night. Pale red, and it seemed to have a slightest hint of bricking at the rim. Good nose of spice, violets, currants and strawberries. I've had some really extracted wines from PM before, but this was something made a little more "old fashioned" and I enjoyed it. Good tension on the palate, with lots of red fruits, woodspice, minerals and a good clean and long finish. Lovely tannins as well and certainly approachable now.

This is rocking. Classically red fruited with Vosne spice. So ready and seductive, but perhaps a bit too easy drinking and light.

DIVA Burgundy Tasting; 3/21/2012-3/22/2012 (Maison Champy - Beaune): Wine tasting. Bright red cherry and strawberry aromas with expressive Asian five spice complement. Lean and elegant on palate, very well textured. Very good expression of Beaux Monts.
