About 3-1/2 years have passed since drinking the first bottle. It has softened out some and was better than the previous one. It is still a pretty jammy fruit bomb.

Semi-translucent ruddy garnet. Jammy strawberry, cola, and earth nose. Medium bodied, raspberries, pepper, bing cherries, a few grainy tannins, low acid that disappeared by day 3, and a slightly sweet medium length finish. Relatively well made fruit bomb, I guess, but not my style.

Huge structure, lots of fruit, big, big yummy wine, but not a lot of distinguishable flavors - just a ton of fruit all mashed together. That being said, for the price it's hard to beat, and we'll definitely be trying more.

Take this review with a grain of salt since we drank this at a northern Michigan cabin out of plastic juice glasses. Even though this was an inexpensive wine I had really much higher expectations based on a review I had read before buying. The nose was weak but had some black cherry and wood. I didn't get the smokiness I was promised. The taste was quite acidic and hot on the tonge. The finish was long but was not what I would call pleasant. I have one more bottle and will try again out of a more suitable drinking vessel. Also, as most wines in this price range, it has a synthetic cork.

Solid 88pt wine. Enjoyable right upon opening, obvious black fruit mixed with pepper/spice fruit on the nose. A little hot on both the nose and palate on opening. I look forward to seeing how this wine develops over the next day or so. I only bought two bottles of this wine, for 11+ a bottle I may have to pick up another half a case.

Lots of good things going on with this wine. Yeah, it's not an ager, but it sure is good with or without food. Lots of dark fruit, nice tannins and balanced.

Decanted for about 30 minutes, served with fusilli, kale and prosciutto. Light purple color, floral nose. Fruit-forward, brambly, cinnamony, medium-bodied with little oak and nothing much on the tail end. A straightforward California table wine with some fun character but no cellar potential. Drink now and enjoy.

Quite the blend, little bit of everything. There is a lot of cracked black pepper with a ton of clove. Very noticeable, if you are "spice adverse" then stay away.

Oh I wish I had more of this! A great blend with lots of fruit but not a bomb. Nice before and with food.

Fruit forward. Some harshness mid-palate. Good but not great. Excellent price point.

Needs decanting for 30 mins. Then, it was smooth and delicious.

very darrk. Tight... wait for 24 hours and it shows lconcentrated black fruit on nose and palate, plush and quaffable.

Second bottle, enjoyed over several days with various meals. Big fruit, spice, modest oak. An easy-drinking quaffer. Great QPR.

Plum, pepper.. A bit thin otherwise but doesn't finish like a "cheap red". Not sure if this is as much of a hidden gem as other CH's.
