Didn't take formal notes, but this was a very light, restrained effort. Ruby color, aromas of dark fruits and a bit of tar, medium acid, short finish, and flavors of dark fruits and a little mineral. Not much structure, and I don't see this improving. Not bad, but not a re-buy for me (more like a buy, as it was a gift).
Cherry fruit aromas but a bit of a thin welcome, the flavours again are predominantly cherry but of a soft, easy drinking intensity and, with a bit of perseverance I could detect some clove spice and a bit of marzipan. This wine is a good informal dinner party option (especially with the romantic label design).
A lush concentrated wine with a deep color. Very soft and drinkable, with a somewhat restrained nose that is more very ripe fruit rather than floral or spicy Not tannic, nicely balanced with a long easy ripe fruit finish. A single word descriptor would be corpulent.
First wine tasting. Dark cherry smell and hints of vanilla, apple and coffee. Nice acidity. The wine looks Garnet colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Petrol, Cherry, and Apple. It tastes like Cherry, Apple, Vanilla, and Coffee. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Polished texture. The wine finishes Medium.
Medium ruby. Initially restrained nose that gradually opened up to reveal red cherry, cinnamon, flowers and herbs with a charcoal scent. Medium-bodied with soft tannins, freshness and vibrant acidity. Medium to long aftertaste. An extremely versatile and food friendly wine that paired nicely with a vast array of dishes, ranging from cheese-pie to fried beef liver. A great choice if you are looking for a passe-par-tout wine to accompany your everyday meals or be served from the beginning to the end of a multy-course dinner.
Medium bodied, mild nose, balanced slightly to the acidic side to go well with food. Good fruit, woody notes and a bit of earth give this a bit more character than might be expected. A good food-friendly wine, and well worth the price. I'll be getting more to serve with meals.
