Nice but not grand: Like with most Perrot-Minot the Chapelle is a really nice wine but lacking something of a remarkable character, which makes this a totally enjoyable wine without the wow factor of a truly grand wine. Similar albeit less masculine version of the Perrot-Minot Chambertin 2010.
Perrot-Minot in my book is a reliable domain, rather than a great domain. Duroche, Bachelet have substantially more wow factor and personality and class, let alone Armand Rousseau or a harder to find great vintage of Joseph Roty.

Hint of green notes with mostly dark fruits. Lovely finish indicative of the grand cru level. it blossom after 30 mins in decanter plus 1.5 hrs in bottle, high tone notes with red fruits cherries, beautiful on the plate and a lovely structure.

DnP: ruby; raspberry on nose; evolves nicely in glass over 90 min., medium bodied; tea leaves; spice; lasting finish; drinking really nicely but probably a little early

A very fine Burgundy. Red and blue fruit, very polished, modern with some oak for sure but first rate fruit and acidity as well. Easy to drink now because of the silky tannins and mouth feel, but young aromatically so make sure you decant it for 1h for the aromas to blossom. 95+

Third time I have this within the past year. Mirroring the previous two bottles, I will copy the essence from the first time I had it: First grade Burgundy! Modern yes, but SO well balanced! Highly pronounced intensity, especially on the palate, somewhat less so on the nose, complex and very long aftertaste! Notes of the finest kind: red rose petal perfume, cool, fresh cherry fruit, woodsmoke, sous bois/wet underbrush, asian spices, and just an incredible energy, bright and lively! One of the standouts of the tasting!

Had it again and have nothing much new to add. I find this wine amazing and spectacular. This time it was served after a stunning 2007 DRC Richebourg, which may have caused me to rate it a point lower. I guess I found it slightly less singing and vibrant this time, but that is like splitting hairs. Highly recommended if you come across a bottle.

Oh wow! Goosebump wine here! I had high expectations but oh brother, were they met! First grade Burgundy! Modern yes, but SO well balanced! Highly pronounced intensity, ultra complex and very long aftertaste! Notes of the finest kind: red rose petal perfume, cool, fresh cherry fruit, woodsmoke, sous bois/wet underbrush, asian spices, and just an incredible energy, bright and lively! Wow, hat's off! Stupendous!

Leiden tasting: last one before the holidays: Judging from the almost purple color this is clearly a very young wine. At the moment it is still very primary and not giving very much. The mid-palate is however full with promise: very clean fruit, minerality, acidity, good round tannins. This clearly is infanticide, but it is very instructive how well 2009 grand cru's drink very young, while this 2010 grand cru is in hiding. We learned that this had just been bottled which may also have played a role. This will be beautiful in future I guess, but due to my lack of experience with such young wines I cannot rate it.

Tasted pre-release. Made from 80 year old vines, this one had a nose of coca cola, liquorice, and mixed spices. Flavours of minerals, peaches and mixed berries. This came with manuka honey at the end and a short finish.

Wow factor on this georgeous wine. Cherries, rose and Dr. Pepper. Very silky and long. Sensuous mouthfeel. Absolutely world class wine.

Big and modern, with very fleshy and juicy acidity. Lots of drive and energy. The package is there, needs more time.
