Burgundy Dinner with Friends (S.K.Y. Restaurant - Chicago IL): Meaty and dense black fruit with anise and dark chocolate hints. Riper than most 2010s (I'd have thought 2009 if tasted blind), this came across as more fun than the others in the flight but less nuanced.

As one of my favorite prodcuers, T-M manages normally to deliver elegance with power. AND the first sip out of the bottle was indeed a bright tart cherry, cranberry, raspberry blend.
But after that very nice opening, and a carafe and later decanter pour, the wine was off center, expressing some sour notes, an occasional deep dive into dark black cherry and then back to brighter red fruits, some wet wood, and no real dissipation of the acids. This was my only bottle,so I would suggest others to hold this in the hope that it comes around in a year or two.

Executive Wine Seminars: 2010 Red Burgundies: The 1er Crus: Some oak and dark cherry on the palate. Detecting a whiff of pickle juice on the nose, unusual. The middle is a bit short and the wine lacked vibrancy for me. Group score: 3.

The '08 was more of the wine of the night but that I believe is due to this being so young. Much potential here, leads you to the Perrot Minot style without the massive price tag on the grand crus. There is greatness here, but will they stand the test of time?

Tasted pre-release and I must admit i don't drink many Morey St. Denis', but this was a pleasant surprise with punchy nose of lavender, violet and butterscotch and nice flavour profiles with graphite, game and blackcurrant.
