Very nice both with and in our beef stew. Not exceptional, but a very pleasing pinot with a lightness that is somewhat surprising. Give an hour for the heat to blow off though.
It’s time to drink the last few bottles now.

This is a very well made Bourgogne - and just what it should be. That it is still good more than 10 years post vintage speaks volumes. Pale blackish red, with substantial bricking now. Nose cranberry and sour red cherry remains. Seems more Beaune than Nuits, perhaps even challonaise. Mushroom notes and a bit of herbal - perhaps rosemary. Palate balanced, with plenty of acid supporting and maintaining the fruit. Mineral and some rounded, integrated tannings toward a moderate finish. You will never mistake this for a Richebourg or Gevrey - but that isn't the point - and the producer didn't make this wine as if they had that kind of fruit. I feel bad not going over 90, because it is so well done for what it is - but the level of complexity does not warrant it. But I'm really happy to have a couple more bottles in the cellar. No real hurry, but I doubt it's growing at this point.

89+. Showing a little maturity: nose lovely and complex. In mouth, superb balance of well-integrated acid and a touch of tannin making the mouthfeel quite delicious. Near its peak. Lovely flavours.

Glass: Riedel Vinum Burgundy Clear medium ruby Color. Medium intense, developing nose with fruits (red berries), licorice, a bit of smoked Bacon and oak. Dry, good and well integrated acidity, medium- Body, elegant, fruity without beeing simple. Uncomplicated without beeing boring. At its peak now, but will stay there for several more years. Good PQR.

Rasperry, licorice, cherry. Simple but will develop further. I have to find the patience to keep the remaining bottles locked up for awhile, but it's hard to resist the easy appeal of this one.

Licorice, cherry, blackberry. A little bit thin yet but very enjoyable right now. Wonderful pinot for everyday drinking. Will buy by the case for a long time to come.

Simple, elegant, doesn't compete with the meal, compliments meats especially well.

Pungent nose with black licorice and an autumnal leaf note. A touch on the rustic side but this is a tasty Bourgogne to seek out.

Very nice Bourgogne with good fruit and and a soft palate, however at the moment a bit light and could use a couple of more years in the cellar.

Medium ruby. Licorice and blackberry. Light but with some palate presence and a sense of ripeness. Good acidity, good quality for a Bourgogne.
