Ripe fruit, good structure, stony, everything is well integrated, has developed over the last year. This is a perfect Genevrières. No decant necessary, can still go on for years.

This is in a really nice place right now! Super fresh, with rich fruit and bright acidity. I wouldn't hold on to these for too much longer though, this seems to be drinking at its peak and my guess is that it won't improve at all from here.

The bottle was in a perfect condition. It had very concentrated white orchard fruits, and somewhat voluptuous characters since 2010 was a warm vintage. It was a pleasure!
Chez Said: White orchard fruit, stony, with an impressive length and density, in a perfect shape now and should easily go on for further years. Had this after the same wine from 2015 which was not yet really together.

La Paulée de New York - The Verticals (Eventi Hotel - New York NY): Walk around tasting, in 12/11/10 vertical. Rich and layered, still nicely fresh and elegantly textured. Certainly the best of the vertical today, I'd drink these sooner rather than later to retain all its freshness.

Having gone through 6 bottles of this in the last half year my conclusion is one of inconsistency sadly. There wasn't a single bottle that tasted alike. Some examples were golden in colour, others markedly lighter. Some examples were buttery deep and rich others were more on the light and crisp side. I really don't know what is going on. From a six pack stored IB and then kept in my Eurocave for the last months, so not a provenance issue. The wine was always enjoyable, sometimes more (93 points heights) sometimes less (probably 89-90 for the worst bottle). But you could serve me this wine blind and I would never get it after having had 6 bottles.

Mid-gold. Flint, nuts, then an array of stone fruits. Lovely mouth feel and weight. There’s something new to come back to with each sip. Becomes more savoury with time. Mineral too. Good length on the finish. Enjoyed.

Golden in colour, visually oily in the glass. A deep nose of almonds, pain grille. Quite salty and savoury on the palate. A lovely wine and great pairing with the hand made linguine with black truffle.

Beautiful wine! Crisp acids and so fresh and complex with notes of limestone and mint with superb tension on the finish. Texture taut Meursault that is great tonight but should even improve over the next few years. Out of Magnum at La Paulee dinner.

Fantastic wine. Fresh as can be. Excellent acidity and minerality. Leans more towards the Roulot side of Meursault...more linear and with electric acidity. Very happy with this one, which is a treat with food!

Pnp. Nose has pineapple, apricot, mango and oak. Palate is rich and forward with good intensity and minerality. It is a rather big meursaut. Good length. This is pretty similar to bouchard’s geneviere and perriere in terms of calibre. Good value to money.

In a mineral style rather than traditionnal white Meursault. Delicious, fresh and med+ acidity. Great balance and texture. Recommended, glad I have 5 left, drink or hold.

Wine served blind next to Coche's genevrieres 2010. There's a distinct character difference between these two wines. Coche is still restrained backward, and needed a long time to open up but I feel like the nose is still bit shy. Jobard doesn't have that match stick , flinty nose as to the typical coche but yet on the fruit side it's much more prevalent. I would have this over the coche tonight.
I especially loved this Meursault given floral and elegant nose but yet it posses great weight on the body. That racy sharp acidity would give this wine at least 20 years of life or maybe more.

SLDS July 2017 (Cirrus): Blind. Lemon, white florals, tangerine and pineapple. Quite viscous on the palate, with a light mineral chacter, the fruit weight giving it power. Texture is quite good, though it isn't overly deep. Surprised to find out what this was but I still like it.

Served blind. Not a typical Burg! Bit of a fruit salad nose here - in a restrained way. Pineapple, peach and other tropical fruits. Lovely palate weight and intensity. But not quite representative of the maker or vineyard.

La Paulée de San Francisco - The Verticals (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. Seems much like the 2012 but with both the benefit of age and slightly better structure. Still needs a few more years to really show its full potential, but I think this will be a 93-94 point wine.

The Verticals Tasting at La Paulée 2016 (The Fairmont, San Francisco): Light yellow. Flintier and more floral than the '12, much less wood showing. Light, lively, lemony, some cinnamon. A relief after the younger vintage and so much better than that wine.
