This a truly interesting wine. Garrigue, herbal, almost medicinal. Amazing thick texture but all in balance. A totally different class from any other white CdP (including Beaucastel) I've ever drunk. A bit sui-generis but characteristic at the same time.
Color is quite dark and you can tell this is an unctious wine just by looking at it. Not showing a whole lot on the nose or the palate for that matter. It's possible that this is holding a lot in reserve but I get the feeling that the wine just isn't very good
Rayas Tasting @ EOS (San Francisco): Somewhat muted nose. Generous in the mouth, with melon, flowers, gravel and minerals. Nice structure, long finish. Interesting, complex, vibrant wine. I would buy this, if it wasn't too expensive.
