I mistakenly took this wine to the wrong place and almost poured it all out for father so and so and the angels that floated around him. But that's for another time. Creamy, lees, chalk and watermelon. Ripe watermelon. Quiet aromas, really, but very charming. I like this much more than the '12s are drinking right now. Aromas of clean old wooden desktop. But truthfully, more fruit emerges as this wine warms up and/or opens up in my glass. Red berry

Quick TN: Popped and poured. Admittedly, I'm a homer for this wine. It's the best rose I've had this year. Crisp, strawberry and a hint of melon, a hint of citrus, and the acidity gives it life. Great paing with oven-roasted chicken with a chipotle rub.

PopnPour, then Day 2 -gorgeous translucent med pink/orange -moderately aromatic, a little strawberry and rhubarb -late acidity, med weight and conc, silky mouthfeel for a rose, loaded with dry extract that leads to an impressively long slightly bitter quinine finish, strawberry/rhubarb are main fruit elements, structurally holds up well on Day 2 with some extra complexity, as good or better than the first bottle 6 months ago -very nice now potentially with room to improve, great balance with vibrant acidity and mid-palate sap, WIN!

This wine just continues to bring it. Great pairing with Mango Salsa on a warm 4th of July. The aromatics jump from the glass and the creamy strawberry, watermelon and nectarine on the palate combined with bright acidity make it a pleasurable drink. Nudges out the '11 Ode to Lulu as my Rosé of the Year. Raised lots of eyebrows around the table.

Strawberry aromas. Mouth-watering watermelon palate. A very lively and prickly palate. Watermelon 'jolly rancher.'. It would probably get even better with age, but this is some giving texture for young rosé.

Literally my first word on tasting this was WOW! What a great blend of berry and tropical fruit tones. There's great balance as well, with the wine drinking so easily I thought it was evaporating in the glass. Amazingly refreshing and really just fabulous. This is my favorite Rosé, eclipsing even the vaunted Baudry.

Simple Hedonisms Rosé Panel; 5/1/2012-8/5/2012: Wonderful rose' from a rare CA varietal. Salmon orange-pink color. Nose of citrus, cherry, strawberry. Wonderful balance of bright acidity and texture in mouth. Cherry, strawberry, lime, pomegranate. Better with some aeration. Will improve with some bottle time, perfect for the fall Holidays.

(A-R open house) Fresh and appealing and distinguishable from many other pink wines by the fact that it doesn't bear the telltale signs of cultured yeast and the emphatic fruitiness it can impart. I don't know that it's particularly varietal in character, but I don't know a heck of a lot about Touriga Nacional.

Drank over two nights. Beautiful salmon/pink color. Strawberry and cherry aromas in the glass - nose gets bigger as wine warms in the glass. Flavors of strawberry and cranberry dominate on the palate - with a nice balance of acidity and light tannins. Very clean and fresh, with a surprisingly long finish.

Nice fresh Rose that is very well balanced, for a rose. Has a great floral nose with some strawberry and cherry. Dont be fooled by 90+ point ratings - it is a very good rose, not a spectacular wine. it is over-priced at $30, but if you can find for sub-20 it is perfect for a warm spring day.

NC Cindy Tasting. "Baller Night" (NC Wino's Stately Wayne Manor): Beautiful salmon orange-red through the clear glass bottle, not too intense, the nose is big! This has rich, thick cherry; blood orange; good florals; and even a touch of Pinot-like cola smells. The palate is mouth-filling and full, with more of that dark orange flavor, some smooth cherry pie filling, pink grapefruit and a touch of cream, with a sprinkling of spice. The wine fills the mouth and is impeccably balanced, with solid acid, medium or better body, and even a pretty good shot of tannin. This is the best rosé I've ever had, with a depth and deftness that is hard to put into words. My one major complaint is that the finish is at best only medium in length, but any problem that is cured by another sip is pretty minor. Not cheap for rosé at $26 delivered ($20 plus expensive shipping), this was worth every penny. I liked this wine a lot. I would be interested in seeing if this has any aging potential, but I can tell you right now that I'll be lucky if my remaining bottles last me until Thanksgiving dinner.

Onion skin color. Spicy, floral, citrus and strawberry on the nose. Even though the MLF is not done, it is round with a good body, almost creamy. More cherry on the palate and surprisingly some tannins. Finish is fresh with a nice tangy note. Interesting wine and quite good rose. 12.4%

(From a tasting at Chambers St Wines) Excellent. Light, delicate and refreshing but not washed out. Outside of Tempier's Rose (which is in a different mold anyways), this is one of the best Roses I have tasted. I can think of nothing better I would like next to me on the porch on a warm summer evening. The only downside: I think this was being offered at something like $22?? A little steep for what this wine is intended to be...

Ever since I took delivery of this I've wanted to taste it, well Sunday early afternoon seemed like the right time to pop this. Light salmon color with big nose of light florals, watermelon, strawberry, citrus served up over salty mineral stone. The wine has a nice weight to it so that it can be enjoyed year round. I love the acidity and minerality. I bought three on release $20, thinking I need to buy more now. Outstanding!

Apperently three years in the making. Just got it, new I should wait but instead pounded through a bottle. Doesn't seem shocked, or rather, its so shocked it doesn't know what to do and just gives all up anyway. "Flashy" was Nate's comment o the nose. Christof wondered about acidification. I couldn't really see either. Big aromatics, round tummy, cutting finish. Delicious.

Just singing a lovely tune. Just blows up when it starts coming to room temp. Picked up another 6 pack today and the 80° weather had us enjoying another bottle. Erin told me today that they are all sold out so I'm happy I re-upped when I had the chance.

Wow! Florals and spice on a very aromatic nose, made more so out of a Burgundy glass. Some noticeable strawberry on a rich and creamy palate. With air, some of the lushness seems to fade, with more acidity on the palate and some light tannins on the finish. Some will find this an improvement from the pop. I preferred the pure hedonism on the "pop" but welcomed the structure as an indication for some aging potential. But, wait another 20 minutes, and it's back to creamy. Morphs back and forth. Weighty enough to open now....no need to wait until summer. In fact, this might not appeal to some for summer drinking, as it is neither light nor carefree. 92 points in the context of a rose.

Really enjoyed this. Nose of bergamot and very slight yeast. Crisp on the palate with marked salt and minerality. Oddly, though wonderfully, it had an intermittently creamy finish. First experience with Arnot Roberts and they did not disappoint. Finished the bottle the next night and enjoyed it even more. Nose was more expansive, with strawberry and honeydew notes. Fruit still fresh and lively with acidity slightly more muted. Will buy more.
