Similar impressions as with previous bottles. Soft and round, with apple, pear, some toasted marshmallow. As it opened, a little stony minerality shows and the toasted marshmallow turns more to buttery notes. Not bad but not very exciting either. Ann liked it more than me. I prefer a little more tension and zip. I like the J.M. Boillot Rully 1er Cru better and its a few bucks less.
This is similar to the bottle I had a few days ago. Fat and round with apple/baked apple notes, cream, almost a butterscotch impression, oak and malo character. A little mineral. I prefer more focus, tension and cut.
This bottle seems a little fatter, with less acid than I remember in the 08 vintage. Some cream, butter and oak. I was hoping for a little more minerality and cut but Ann loved it. Will try another soon.
