Apiary with Josh and Simon (Apiary, E. Village, New York City): Deep, blood ruby, bricking. Very rich and deep nose, earthy and appealing; dusty cherry, rose, and pomegranate; again, very appealing! The palate is more '88 than anything else -- stern, conservative, tannic; tense cherry. Then, with food, a little more sweetness and cheer shows up. Good length. This is definitely a food wine; quite firmly tannic, but also very enjoyable. (My wine)
