Restrained nose (or maybe it's my nose that's still slightly restrained by the aftereffects of a cold) of citrus and a suggestion of walnuts. On the palate it picks up apple notes and has pleasing contrasts: round and a bit creamy, yet with bracing acidity and some minerality. This is a very good value and will make a fine summer sipper. I was afraid it would be over the hill, but it seems to have the stuffing to be good for at least another 18 months. No need to wait, however.

Medium body, pale yellow, aromatic, green apple, ripe peach and pineapple aroma, white garden fruits, green apples and species palate, long finish, balanced, complex, refresh acidity. Well associated with fat cheeses, spanakopita, ravioli. Serve to 9º - 12º. Drink now and next year.

Popped and poured with tilapia. Aroma has lime, green apple and minerals. Taste is very tart right off the bat with the green apple. Finish is pretty drying. Pretty enjoyable, but the tartness is a bit too much.

Easy drinking Rioja blend (mostly viura). Good expression of apple, pear, and hints of citrus. The fruit are nicely complimented with a woodiness and acidity. This is not a "wow" wine by any means, but a fine white that will stand up to some heavy dishes or for casual sipping.

This was everything a oaky chardonnay should be, without being a chardonnay. This viura has a smokey nose, bold citrus flavours, bright acidity, with a long finish. This should improve in bottle another year or 2. Only reason I don't score it 90 or higher is I drank it too cold, and did not pair it properly. This would be great with creamy pasta sauces, Thai or Indian food.

thewinetobuy.com never seems to disappoint in its recommendations. here is a white rioja which i had not encountered until Mitch directed me there. a nice, light wine throwing off a nose of apples and perhaps apricot along with hints of pear. and the taste comes through round and pleasant and continuing those same flavors of the fruits it first suggested. I like this wine a lot and if you see it, pick up a bottle.

Almost colorless. Expressive nose of peach pits, stoney mineral, wet grass, anise, and light tropical notes. The palate is a somewhat diluted version of the nose with nice acidity and a short finish. Delicious with my favorite meal of sockeye salmon grilled on a natural wood fire. The viura varietal is a real change of pace from your typical whites, and this is a good representation of this Rioja grape.

Color averdado brillante y ligero. Un poco tímido al principio, mostrando algo de aromas a manzana y peras. La boca es un bien ácida e insípida. No me gustó esta botella, conociendo bien este vino.

Another strong banco entry from Muga. Predominantly pear on the nose with a baked apple presences on the mid-palate. A shame I waited all summer to enjoy this. Delicious.

Reminiscent of a decent, but not great buttery Chardonnay. Nothing special.
