Anwar brought this bottle to Zepplans house last weekend and it was paired with the 5th course of our dinner which was a rack of lamb, garlic-sauteed spinach and bourbon-mashed sweet potatoes. I think this was the regular Syrah and not one of the single vineyard bottlings (correct me if I am wrong Anwar). This 10 year old wine threw a good amount of sediment. A little bricking in the color. it had some of the secondary nuances from aging. Notes of spice box, cassis, cedar and shitake mushroom. The only drawback was that it was light on the fruit. Drink now. 89 points.

Rhone Varietals, NYC June 2009 (Tribecca Grill): Nose of Bright fruit, cola. Light plum, a little spice. Some nice acidity but it doesn't all integrate on the finish.
