Fantastic showing of a wine that's been up and down for me. Dankness on back end for first 10-15 minutes (but front was glorious from PNP). Back end evened out and we were left with a wonderfully perfumed wine, with a vague and pleasant sense of rotting petals (violets? geraniums? who knows).

Served at room temp. Tart and one-note. Hints of the green strawberries again, but without the electricity of the last time we cracked one open. Some herbaceousness buried in the middle, but nothing worth talking about.

My third or fourth go around with this wine, and far and away the best. Now, there's nothing controlled about the way I drink this stuff, much less double-blind, so anything at all could account for the variation: perhaps I'm in a better mood than I think I am (frank assessment: pretty grumpy, in point of fact, upon popping); perhaps the 500's were a totally different batch than the 750's. The one difference I *can* readily cite is that this is the first time I popped-and-poured at room temperature and not with a chill -- and this wine is shining at room temp. It's almost *elegant* now. Soft, luscious tannins; green strawberries. There's really nothing rustic about the thing that is currently in my glass.

Just a beautiful nose of strawberry, red candied notes, with a just a hint of mint and earthiness - well balanced w/ a great acidic backbone - light on the palate but balanced and delicious. Its a quaffer - love it.

Pure red fruit and clean mineral earth, tart acidity, pure and refreshing with some depth to it too, light on its feet, good length stony finish, really nice wine.

This is beautiful, perhaps not as finely grained as the 09 Morgon - what you get instead are playful tannins and lots of fruit, delivered in the most elegant (can I say this about a wine that is meant to be 'rustic', whatever that means?) possible way, through a crystal-like texture and acidity.

A linear wine, quite clean, red fruited, amazing depth for 11+% alcohol. Fabulous with a roasted chicken. A perfect table wine in the best possible way.

I have drank two bottles of this in 500 ml format in the past two months. These wines are balanced, and perfect with food. They are simple, but they need not to be complex..they are for enjoyment, and they both were great!

Traditional elevage, not semicarbonic and it is evident here. A cerebral Beaujolais with earthy flavors emphasized over fruit. Low alcohol and a real food wine.

A rustic wine with nice, earthy flavors. Good balance. Fairly simple but easy to drink. Darker fruits on the palate. Nice finish. A Selection Massale import.

Medium color with cherry fruit and earth. Big wine in 2010 Beaujolais terms. Nicely tart red that seems somewhat muddled and not as crisp as it should be. Lots of soil. Good at this level.

Acidity and strawberries. Served chilled, liked it, but not wildly -- would serve one better as a summer quaffer.

Nothing too remarkable about this, but it's pretty easy to like. And the 500ml format is the shit.
