Saturday Afternoon at Weygandt (Washington, DC): Juicy, fresh, the apricot and white peach fruit mixes with sea shell notes and white flowers. A juicy, ripe Riesling, but showing some character and a food-friendly approach.

Bright green in colour. Straw, citrus on the nose. Citrus, predominantly orange peel, underpinned with apple. Bright acidity with some residual sugar. Medium length.

Straightforward. A little too much fruit cocktail for my liking.

Holiday 2012 Wines; 12/23/2012-12/31/2012 (Santa Fe, NM): Another nice showing. Great orchard fruit, less tropical and more apples and pears. Nice minerality and acidity on the finish. Went well with some spicy mole!
