Cherry and earth, nicely balanced acids. This took a while to open up but by the second glass this is really tasting nicely. Vidon makes some lovely wines and this is very enjoyable.

Opened the bottle and poured a couple of glasses and let sit for 30 minutes and then drank over next hour and a half. Bouquet was very nice right away and complexity and depth improved over the evening. The taste never quite got there for me. The finish was short and a little green. So while my wife and I both enjoyed it, we were both underwhelmed. I will wait several months before opening another bottle and may leave open for a little longer next time.

Brief notes from impromptu wine night. Bright red fruits, cranberry, rhubarb some tart cherry. Nice streak of acidity. The French oak helps to provide a nice creamy mouthfeel. Seamless tannins. This will hold but not sure it will improve much. Nice bottle.

2 Days in the Valley- Day 1 (Willamette Valley, OR): nose: There is a nice coolness to the tones of red fruits, red florals, spices and fresh picked berries. Very aromatic with nice balance to it and decent depth.
taste: Very pretty medium feel with medium+ acidity and balanced tones of red fruits, red cherries, roses and some spice tones.
overall: I really like the cool qualities to the fruit on both the nose and palate. This is a very attractive pinot that leans more towards the upper register.

Mountains to Metro (Heritage Ballroom in the Governor Hotel): Perhaps the top wine of the event. This offers very spicy aromas, almost medicinal in nature. There's definitely an herbal character that's very nice. The palate is tart, with pleasing red fruits and impeccable balance. This balance carries into the finish with grace, with impressive tart fruits but on a very soft textural feel. I need to revisit this wine.

Nose - perfumed, floral,
Mouth - elegant, lively, bright red fruit, juicy, fresh, minerally. Good stuff. I think this will get better with bottle age.
