Served as part of a larger line up. Dark garnet. Oak, oak and then some more oak. This is rather extracted for the vintage, trying to be more it can in the measly 2011 vintage. I think you can buy a supermarket wine instead of this, same commercial style. Very unfitting bling bling label too, apparently designed by Jade Jagger. Makes the wine look like to be a bottle to be served at a Russian night club instead of a dinner table.

1hr+ decant and needed more. Dark purple color. Lovely nose of violets, coffee, oak, and tar. Wine is harsh on the palate and lacks fruit and depth. Was more spicy than I would have expected. Develops earthy and smoke flavors with air, but had a medium minus finish. Not bad value, but expected more.

Strong nose of band-aid, meat, wet leather, prune. Palate opens a bit to notes of blackcurrant, plum, cherry, cedar, leafy tobacco, coco, some brett hints. Ok, wine, ok typicity of left bank bordeaux

Not great. Expected a little more. Inconsistent vintage. Decanted for 2 hours. Probably would try straight from bottle next time. Maybe my mistake. Looking forward to other years from this well achieved house.

Decent Bordeaux for a less than stellar vintage year. It is definitely a drink now- we let breathe for 3 hours and did NOT decant. This is very smooth and elegant, thought it was more like a Margaux than a St. Julien, seemed more like Merlot than Cab...online information indicates a good bit of Cab. Not a bold wine, but went perfectly with homemade beef stroganoff over egg noodles and steamed broccoliini...I normally would go with a muscular Pinot with this dish, but this smooth and elegant Bordeaux was a good pairing. About worth the mid 30's that we paid for it.

+ Color : lovely medium red, slightly transparent, hint of purple + Nose : yummy, plenty of fruit, deep, violets, some stable / barnyard + Taste : follows the nose, however a bit too light on the pallet + Finish : nice, herbal, some length, still a bit tannic
Have to say, it holds its own ... purchased at 32 Euro, would buy again.

Warm red cherry and a dirty nuance beneath. Medium bodied palate with lots of drying tannins up front. Very delicate style, could be balanced after a ton of air or cellaring. Very good.

Slow oxed for a couple of hours. Frankly this was disappointing; lacking in fruit with a prominent green note and a short, bitter finish. Doubt this will improve with time.

Great nose, a little thin on the palate. For the price point we can get much better, however, no huge complaints, just wanting it to be a bit bigger with a stronger finish. Maybe needs more time to collect itself.

K&L Bordeaux Tasting (Wine and Wall, SF): Structured and ripe but fruit is a bit dirty and finish is short and a bit bitter. Rustic and simple. Tastes like a fine $20 Bordeaux (this is about what it is). 8-8.5

Tour des Deux Rives 2016 San Francisco, (San Francisco, Ca.): Tour des Deux Rives 2016 San Francisco, nose of green grass, earth, and cigar box, hints of dark cherry fruit, same on the palate, medium amount of slightly harsh tannins present, opened slowly which hints it will be better in 2 years, medium body, medium finish.

Tour des Deux Rives, San Francisco: This wine did not excite me. It was extremely shy on the nose and also not giving much on the palate. I got some red fruit, oak, and earth, so there was complexity but it had to be coaxed out of the glass.

Blending 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot, the wine reached 13.2% alcohol. Using 60% new oak, the wine will spend 12 months in barrel. Oak, truffle, tobacco and earth notes are found in the nose. The wine is soft, round and finishes with boysenberry, cherry and cocoa. 90-91 Pts

Opened at Clarity 2/14/22. Opened up nicely, still a touch of tannins. Finished 2/16/22. Maintained its St Julien body.

Drank this at Diamond Kitchen (Science Park) with my wine mates. Theme of the evening: Old World wines.
Dark purple in colour, with notes of oak, plums, dark coffee, and some minerals. Beautiful nose with good structure and body. Long finish.

Aroma with tobacco, violet, spice. Powerful young wine with hard tannin. Dark in colour with great intensity. Nice cherry oaky finishing.
