Lots of oak, butter, and cream. Balanced acidity with hints of pear and lemon. Not what I want to drink all of the time but I still enjoy this older (and currently disdained by the cool kids) style occasionally.

Nose: coconut and green banana, fresh pineapple, some white grapefruit, buttery shortbread cookies, sourdough bread, creme fraiche. Very attractive nose. Taste: dry, medium body, buttery texture with fairly powerful acidity to lift it. Coconut, green banana, and pineapple carry through. Yellow apple/fresh cider, and sourdough bread. Certain sharpness to the finish, with a bit of a bite or heat on the back. Finish could be smoother and better integrated. Serving cold could help. Better for sipping as a result. 84.

Nose: pineapple, citrus fruits, banana, wax candle, coconut flakes, woody, aromatic acidic nose. Taste: dry, acidic, woody, coconut water, bamboo. Taste like how it smells. Banana bread. The finish carries too much bitterness and rubbing alcohol. Nice fruit flavor profile but the composition is not well integrated.

My favorite inexpensive chardonnay ($13 at our Costco). "The Little Rombauer", because it's a scaled-down version of our favorite chardonnay, which sells for $30. Indian Wells has very similar butterscotch, vanillin, and oaky aromatics. Medium bodied, not as viscous as Rombauer. Plenty of mouth-filling flavor, very well balanced, with excellent aftertaste. An excellent value for this style of chardonnay...haven't found any at this price point we like better.

Loads of tropical fruit flavor and a hint of butterscotch. Tastes like a summer holiday - mango, guava, pineapple! Would be great on a sunny summer afternoon.
Very well balanced, and great for the price!

Served slightly below cellar temperature. Aromas of tropical fruit, peach, spice and butterscotch. Honeydew melon and butterscotch combine with fine oaky tannins on the palate lead to a long, smooth finish. Light bodied with balanced acidity and mineral notes. Paired well with shrimp scampi. A very good QPR.

Butter and fruit is balanced well. Label reads that it is "velvety" which is spot on. Was hesitant about the fruity-ness as we tend towards buttery, but went really well with our Chicken Picatta!

Very good QPR. Agree with Ex-Ray with plenty butterscotch, vanilla, and oak. Great if you like that style...my wife does!

Great aroma, fruity , peach, citric. Taste gritty but dry. Definitely worthy it's price. Superior than most Chardonnays of the same price range.

Poor man's Rombauer. Plenty of butterscotch and oak. We prefer Rombauer but this is a third of the price.
