This was definitely starting to turn. The initial taste had something there showing that it was decent at one point in its past. The 2008 was much more enjoyable. This was the oldest wine I have ever tasted, so it was a nice experience either way. If you are still holding one of these, drink ASAP.

Mid Nov 2012: pale brownish rubinred color; coffee, chocolate and tiny hints of cherry; only on the tip of tongue a slightly tanninic impressions; plenty of acid and that's it.
Clearly over the top with an "acid of death"!

Dark purple red. Deep somewhat backward bouquet with a lot of ripe black fruits, oak and sweetness. In the taste ther is a lot of good tannin, good acidity, a lot of black berry fruit and good oak. A firm, powerful and full bodied wine with also some sweetness. Long creamy and fruity aftertaste. Beautiful wine which has a good balance between power and refinement. Now already nice, but has a future of at least 3 – 5 years.

Carmine. Beautiful bouquet with cassis fruit, oak, vanilla and liquorice. Mouth filling aroma. Cassis and oak, earthy/mushroom. Firm but not fat. Fresh and good acidity. Creamy long and complex, soft aftertaste. Very pleasant wine with a good future.

Very refined, minerals, tea; of course showing age, but in an elegant way. Don't wait a second longer with your remaining bottle(s)

Still ok drinking, but is really starting to show signs of old age now. Drink up!

Certainly a good wine, but not really impressive. Now at the end of its mature stage, but still very enjoyable.

Bordeaux, St. Julien with a few extra's (@ My place): In the bouquet cold tea. Same on the palate. A lot of old age acidity. This must be a mistreated bottle. Pity. No score.

Nice and complex wine, but not really convincing. Lacks the number of nuances of the real great wines. Is getting quite mature now; past mid-life.
