- Ruby color. It's balanced with a light/medium body. Polished texture with a medium finish - Light but with a lovely Pinot character. Chilled this a bit on a warm evening and enjoyed with grilled halibut. Wish I had more.

Vegetal nose. Good pinot fruit, but a bit sharp. Some more vegetible funkiness. Better after an hour or so, but not in balance. Not bad but I have liked earlier versions better.

Ruby colored, translucent complexion. Sappy strawberries, raspberries, sandalwood and vanilla bean round out the nose. Medium bodied with a lift of acidity and a silky mouthfeel. Sappy red fruit carries over on the palate, with a nice elegance in character. Finish is roughly medium in length, with a nice carryover of vanilla and cherry. At <$20, this wine is better than most that are twice its price. Excellent Pinot Noir.

(13.7%) The first of Navarro’s entry level Pinot’s to hail from Anderson Valley rather than Mendocino this one starts a bit austere but opens with time to show a bright, lifted strawberry spiced nose. The palate is juicy with mouth coating strawberry and pomegranate flavors. A bit disjointed on the mid-palate (hoping more bottle age will help) before a smooth, lasting, barrel spiced finish. A nice, straightforward wine and fairly priced at ~$20

A very soft, accessable, easy drinking wine. Pillowy fruit, no tannins, and just enough (soft) acids to provide balance. No real depth or complexity here, but this satisfies, as it provides nice pinot flavors and texures at a budget price, albiet in a simplistic manner.

Light ruby red color. Nose is pretty restrained. I don't get much besides alcohol. Just a hint of fruit on the palate. Bright acid. Finish is consistent with the palate. I'm sure this was too young to drink, but I wanted to evaluate it for a possible repurchase during pre-release pricing. Will check back after it's had more air. color 4/5 nose 3/10 taste 10/20 balance 7/10 finish 3/5
A bit more fruit and balance on the second half of the bottle the next day. taste 13/20

Raspberry and cherry flavors with brisk acidity and medium finish. Would recommend opening up for an hour or so.

I would describe the wine as smooth. It was nice, but I did not get much complexity.

Tasting in Anderson Valley; Goldeneye, Navarro, Toulose, Phillips Hill, and Zina Hyde Cunningham (Anderson Valley, CA): Light ruby color with cherry, raspberry, plum and spice aromas. On palate, it's light/medium-bodied, and balanced with tart cherry, raspberry, and spice flavors. 13.7%Great QPR @<$20!

Good, deep red color. Fruity, juicy nose and taste. Not outstanding, but a nice, solid pinot.
