For $9, this is such a solid white wine, great for salads and apps. Lime, grapefruit and margarita with salt on the nose. Fresh and tangy on the palate, but there's also a nice plumpness to the wine, and some tropical fruit aspects. Crisp all the way, but some nice creamy notes. 100% Viura. Good bang for the buck.
Drinking along with some Chilean SB and Argentine Torrontes. 100% Viura. Citrus and melon précis. Medium acid, but well balanced. The palate is to overdone. Charming albeit two-dimensional. Positively effective with some nourishment.
A solid sipper to have around when doing your mise en place; good balance of citric and light tropical flavors, wet rocks, moderate acidity. Also a good weeknight starter white/cooking white that has found its way into many a shrimp or shellfish appetizer dish, too. Drink thru 2013
