Never had a corked bottle so not sure what it could be like but this bottle could be it. The color and aroma was fine and actually the cork seemed to be in good shape. Given the reputation of the 2010 Rhone wines, this was a severe disappointment. Luckily the only one. Very sour and acidic, undrinkable. Used it as Drano.

Advertized as a 90 point wine at Costco. Not so much. Pretty average one dimensional red. Not particularly objectionable, but no really outstanding qualities either. Not 90 pts, for sure.

Pop and pour: delicate violet aromas, in the mouth starts with acid and minerals, blue/black berry fruit, then a dry, tannic, grape-ade finish. A bit sharp now and better with food, but attractive and captured my attention. When this softens and integrated in 3-5 years, this could be fantastic. I like this Rhone a lot for $10, might buy a case to set aside.

A great wine for the price, the 2010 Féraud-Brunel Côtes du Rhône Villages has blueberry, boysenberry and blackberry fruit, layered with woodspice and tobacco tones. The long finish is has notes of licorice.

Good, a bit tight. Nice quality cotes du rhone but you can do better for this price IMO.

I liked this more this last time I drank it. It seems that every a little time in the cellar has helped soften its rather course texture.

Black pepper spice & berry fruit on palate. A bit light on the body, but nice QPR.

Young. Needs a bit more time in the bottle.

Big, structured, tannic. Dark fruit, blackberry and spices. Approachable now but I agree that it will improve with another year of bottle maturation.

Rhone tasting (retailer): Quite young with dark fruit profile. Good structure should improve in a year or two.
