Drank over 2 weeks from a Coravin. Terrific each glass. Deep fruit, lasting on the palate with a long finish. Great value. I have never had the Maya and it would be a great comparison side by side. Drink to enjoy.

Really deep color, hint of a purple edge. Smells great, good bouquet, lavender, roses, all good on the palate, smooth and yet lasting on the palate even after the food was finished. Drink or Hold as he still has a lot of life left.

Spring Break with Friends (Boca Raton, FL): While not fair to this wine to follow a bottle of ‘90 Latour, it still held its own at the end of the night. Very new world in style, brooding black fruit, high alcohol, and a young, vibrant, tannic finish. I will give my remaining bottles another 3+ years to integrate better.

surprisingly lean and hard, despite good intensity of pure blackcurrant and cassis fruit. An astringent structure that overpowers the natural charm of the fruit. Possibly too young but I don't think this will resolve. 15% ABV This softened after 24 hours, suggesting it may score higher in 10 years.

PnP and ready from the start! Delicious. If you’ve had Dalla Valle you know the notes, hillside eastern Oakville. Not much better out there for my palate!

Decanted for 2 hours, rebottled/corked for ride to restaurant & reopened 1 hour later. Drank 1 hour after that in 3rd flight, so in our glasses at the 4 hour mark. The Cab Franc added a beautiful note to the nose. Smooth & delicious, though the tannins show it still has plenty of time to mature.

Rich, bold, ripe fruit throughout. A little green and tannin on the finish. Not fully integrated yet. Could wait for several more years, drank a bit too young.

Muscular and nicely aged this DV had the fragrance of years past however the body was not as pure and fleshy as the ‘09. Really nice stuff though don’t get me wrong.

I agree with a previous reviewer that described this offering as thin and lacking depth. I'm not sure if this Cab has gone into a dormant phase, because the nose lacked presence and a sense of place. It's drinking more like a young Bordeaux or a Turley Zin with red fruit and a lot of spice and grainy tannins on the back end.
Some may really appreciate a more restrained and elegant Cab, but I was disappointed at this price point. Interestingly this wine falls in line with more current trends in Napa Cabs, where the fruit is dialed back with an old world structure. This Cab is built for aging and can easily use another 10 years to reach peak.

Consensus feedback around the table was that this 2010 DV was “thin” - lacking in depth of fruit in particular. PnP (into decanter) after an issue with the cork; the wine was still drinkable. I was a bit surprised and disappointed given my love for this producer. I’m hoping for better from the next bottle.

Still very young with even more potential- this is a complete napa cabernet - let’s start with the finish- sweet tannins, super long finish that goes on forever; lots of black fruit with tar, coal, and molten rock... absolutely lovely- a wow wine that should age very gracefully; one of the best young Cabernets I’ve had in quite a while- YUM

Nose of black cherry, minerals, and plum, same on the palate, medium/big body, very tasty, needs 2 years to peak drinking window, rich fruit, makes you wish for driving on the Silverado Trail, mouth filling, long, flavorful finish and aftertaste.

Last bottle I had was almost three years ago and at the time I noted it needed a lot of air. This has entered a good drinking window now and, while a little air benefitted the wine, it is in a good spot. That said, this will probably still be on the upswing for a few years. Drink or hold.

Just a gorgeous style of California Cabernet Sauvignon here. The deep, dark fruits are ripe, sweet, supple textured and fresh. The wine has weight, density, complexity and length. Balanced and already open, while this clearly can age for another decade or 2, if you like young wine, it is not a bad thing to pop a cork.

Completely closed during 1st hour so we stopped. Recorked, then reopened & drank 6 hours later - what a difference. Richer, sweet fruit & finally showing MUCH better. Have with food & a long 5+ hour decant, or just wait 5 more years. 94++ with some age.

Delicious bottle of California cab, full of extract and layers of rich ripe cab fruit with nice structure of acids and tannins that need 5 years to settle down. Expect it will be even better in 5+ years.

Decanted for an hour. Dark color, purple haze edges, good fruit on the nose and a good finish. Exceptional with butcher cut burgers. Tasty. Drink

Needs a lot of air, or better yet some bottle age. Very nice nevertheless, but I only see this getting better. 94+
