In a really good place. Lemon peel, lemon butter. Clearly aged and golden with honey notes, tropical fruit - dried pineapple and a well weighted palate with good acid. Glad I held on to it.

Initially a little flabby and hollow, this got better as it came up a bit from cellar temperature but the oak is still a little overbearing. Shows a nice crisp acidity without being overripe, but this is just slightly out of balance.

Vintage Imports Tasting (World Cafe Live, Philadelphia): Very nutty, with some toasty oak spice. Pretty good balance of new worldliness and acidity. I don't know that I'd ever buy this (I don't drink much Cali Chard and this isn't going to change that), but I'm not going to complain if someone pours me a glass.

Tour - Napa 2012; 11/16/2012-11/19/2012 (Napa, CA): Bouquet apple, pear, butter, stone. Taste lemon, apple, pear, vanilla, mineral. Very disappointed with all Frogs Leap wines tasted in this flight. $26-over priced! Tasted at Frogs Leap on Napa trip.

Probably held too long. Too tart without the roundness of the other flavors that allows Chards to be drunk at will without much fuss.

Nice no ML (read butter) Cali Chard. My wife loves it, so it's good for everyone at my house...

Not the heavily-oaked Chardonnay that Napa Valley wineries usually produce.

Green apple and leaf aroma and taste, with earthy after taste and a hint of oak.
Cheers!
